Eine offene Gerüststruktur aus tetraedrischen Baueinheiten zeichnet das Zinkophosphat N(CH3)4 · ZnH3(PO4)2 aus. Dessen Topologie basiert auf Zwölferringen (Strukturbild rechts), die einen birnenförmigen Hohlraum mit eingelagertem Tetramethylammoniumion bilden. N(CH3)4 · ZnH3(PO4)2 hat die niedrigste Tetraedernetzwerkdichte, die bisher in mikroporösen Materialien, die nur aus tetraedrischen Baueinheiten aufgebaut sind, beobachtet wurde.
