Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar as evidências acerca da comunicação via mídias socias entre profissionais de saúde e pacientes que serão submetidos à Endoscopia Digestiva. É uma revisão integrativa considerando as seguintes bases de dados: Pubmed, Web of Science e Scopus. A amostra foi composta por 08 artigos internacionais. Quanto à localização de realização do estudo, 04 são asiáticos, 02 europeus e 02 norte-americanos. Os delineamentos mais frequentes foram o estudo prospectivo randomizado, com 06 estudos, seguidos pelo método misto com 01 e estudo descritivo com 01. Portanto, 06 estudos (75%) apresentaram nível de evidência 02 (forte) e dois (25%), nível de evidência 6 (fraca). Os resultados apontam para a escassez de estudos brasileiros que analisem o uso das mídias sociais como ferramenta de apoio para processos de educação em saúde, principalmente nos benefícios a exames diagnósticos como forma de minimizar os cancelamentos e ou realização de forma ineficaz.
