The crystal structure of KSnF3.½H20 has been determined by Patterson and Fourier syntheses. The structure consists of distorted tetragonal pyramids SnF4 with Sn at the top. These pyramids are connected at corners to chains parallel to e. Two channels are formed, one of which is empty and shows small Sn-Sn distances; the second channel is filled with water molecules. Potassium is surrounded by 9 F atoms and one H20.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
