This
review contains some actual information about more interesting
and perspective methods of coal and petroleum asphaltenes separation,
fractionation, extraction, adsorption, and complexation. These are
the most convenient and simple methods for isolating various components
of asphaltenes. These methods are based on the electrostatic and donor–acceptor
properties of the used reagents and on unique and incompletely understood
phenomena. A promising area is the use of ionic liquids as a convenient
and mild isolation of asphaltene components. Understanding and identifying
the diverse molecular composition of asphaltene components will help
one to understand their nature more fully in the future and, more
precisely, physicochemical interactions and phenomena.
The full range of our publications is available from BGS shops at Nottingham, Edinburgh, London and Cardiff (Welsh publications only) see contact details below or shop online at www.geologyshop.com The London Information Office also maintains a reference collection of BGS publications including maps for consultation. The Survey publishes an annual catalogue of its maps and other publications; this catalogue is available from any of the BGS Sales Desks. The British Geological Survey carries out the geological survey of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the latter as an agency service for the government of Northern Ireland), and of the surrounding continental shelf, as well as its basic research projects. It also undertakes programmes of British technical aid in geology in developing countries as arranged by the Department for International Development and other agencies. The British Geological Survey is a component body of the Natural Environment Research Council.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
