Absfract-Accurate absolute gain measurements on a typical IO-cm band Bplane sectoral horn are described which demonstrate the conventional gain expression underestimates by 20 percent or more. More refined Kirchhoff expressions give little improvement.A new gain formula, incorporating the exact on-axis TE,, mode field of an open-ended parallel-plate waveguide and yielding much closer agreement with experiment, is proposed.
Aktroct-Measurements at 2.86GHz of the backscatter matrix of 57 spheroidal samples at all aspect angles in the low-resonance region are presented. Sample size ranges up to ku = 3.4, and axial ratios of 0.5, 0.6, and 0.8 have been used. Dielectric constants include 2.6, 3.3, and 6.5. The presentation is in terms of circular polarization, but the results are readily convertiile to linear (or any other) polarization.
Abstract. Holistic Energy Service Provision has the potential to provide new business opportunities for Facility Management Companies, Building Managers, Energy Providers, Maintenance Providers and many other stakeholders currently working in the area of building design, construction, building operation, energy management, maintenance, etc. since customers wish to get access to all services related to energy supply, energy consumption and building services maintenance through a "one-stop-shop".Our paper describes how the concept of Virtual Enterprises/Virtual Organizations could be applied in the area of Energy Service Provision. The paper describes the context, the relevant stakeholders, required novel IT-services and finally the concept of "Extended Energy Profiles" to allow easy and standardised exchange of Energy Information amongst potential partners in an "Energy Service Company" established on the VO-paradigm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
