One of the biggest challenges that have to be faced by students of university is deciding on a specific career after graduating from university. The aims of this study are for knowing what students needed (study 1) and for testing whether career counseling can increase CDSE students of the university (study 2). In study 1, we use qualitative and quantitative approaches. On the other side, study 2 uses Quasi-Experimental within-subject pre and post-tests designed to monitor the role of career counseling on students. Study 2 involves (N=15) students CDMSES-SF is adopted in Bahasa and Culture. Using the Wilcoxon test on SPSS 24, we intend to know the significance of changes in students' CDSE. The results from study 1 are what needed on career counseling is materials concerning on grooming and writing curriculum (54.8% of 31 students), planning for facing the environment where they work (51.6% of 31 students), and tips and strategies to obtain a scholarship for the master program (54.8% of 31 students). Then, results of study 2 indicate there is a significant change of gathering occupational information (Z=–2.194; p<.05) and making plans for the future (Z=–2.204; p<.05) after career counseling. From this research, future career counseling concerns gathering occupational information and making plans for the future. Meningkatkan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Melalui Konseling Karier Abstrak Salah satu tantangan terbesar yang harus dihadapi oleh mahasiswa adalah membuat keputusan tentang karier tertentu setelah lulus dari universitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa yang dibutuhkan siswa (studi 1) dan untuk menguji apakah konseling karier dapat meningkatkan siswa CDSE dari universitas (studi 2). Dalam studi 1, kami menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Di sisi lain, Studi 2 menggunakan Kuasi-Eksperimental dengan pra dan pasca tes subjek yang dirancang untuk memantau peran konseling karier pada siswa. Studi 2 melibatkan (N=15) siswa CDMSES-SF diadopsi dalam Bahasa dan Budaya. Menggunakan uji Wilcoxon pada SPSS 24, kami bermaksud untuk mengetahui pentingnya perubahan pada CDSE siswa. Hasil dari studi 1 adalah apa yang diperlukan pada konseling karier adalah materi mengenai kurikulum perawatan dan menulis (54,8% dari 31 siswa), perencanaan untuk menghadapi lingkungan tempat mereka bekerja (51,6% dari 31 siswa), dan tips serta strategi untuk memperoleh beasiswa untuk program master (54,8% dari 31 siswa). Kemudian, hasil penelitian 2 menunjukkan ada perubahan yang signifikan dalam mengumpulkan informasi pekerjaan (Z=–2,194; p<0,05) dan membuat rencana untuk masa depan (Z=–2,204; p<0,05) setelah konseling karier. Introduction. Adolescence is a transition period between childhood and adulthood during which a decision to embark on a career is made. Furthermore, emotional intelligence is linked to self-efficacy in career decision-making, and some adolescents possess a proactive personality trait that seemingly strengthens the relation between the two concepts. Method. This study evaluated relations between emotional intelligence and career decisionmaking self-efficacy and considered whether such relations are moderated (strengthened or weakened) by proactive personality. A group sample (N = 840) from state senior high schools in Indonesia was surveyed. Results. Career decision-making self-efficacy correlated with emotional intelligence. Additionally, proactive personality had a moderating effect on the relation between emotional intelligence and career decision-making self-efficacy. Discussion and Conclusion. There is a significant positive relation exists between the two factors, and the hypothesis is accepted. The role of proactive personality suggests that career interventions should emphasize proactive personality aspects to increase the career decisionmaking self-efficacy of adolescents
Angka korban bullying di Indonesia mengalami kenaikan. Korban mempunyai reaksi emosi yang berbeda, yang mana tergantung pada strategi coping yang digunakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sistematik reviu pada strategi coping korban face-to-face bullying dan cyberbullying dari pelajar sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah pertama, sekolah menengah atas, dan mahasiswa. Untuk melakukan sistematik reviu, 35 penelitian disaring dari tujuh database elektronik, meliputi: Taylor & Francis Online, Sage Journal, Science Direct, Springer Link, ProQuest, cyberpsychology.eu, dan Wiley Online Library. Pada sistematik reviu ini, terdapat 15 penelitian yang tersisa yang dikategorikan berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan dan strategi coping pada korban face-to-face bullying, face-to-face bullying dan cyberbullying, dan cyberbullying. Secara umum, strategi coping yang digunakan yakni problem-focused coping dan emotion-focused coping. Perbedaan terdapat pada penerapan problem-focused coping; bagaimana korban menghindari pelaku bullying, apakah dalam konteks interaksi langsung atau menggunaka media elektronik. Penelitian selanjutnya hendaknya fokus pada pemilahan strategi coping yang adaptif sehingga para praktisi bisa menerapkan intervensi strategi copingguna meningkatkan kesehatan mental.
An earthquake struck Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia in 2019, and Sigi Regency was one of the most affected areas. Based on a psychological perspective, studies were significant to understand how earthquakes impacted Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This study aimed to examine the effect of social support on CDSE (Career Decision Self-Efficacy). As many as 141 high school students as the earthquake victims in Sigi filled out the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale Short-Form (CDMSES-SF) and Adolescent Social Support Scale (ASSS). The data were analyzed using the multiple regression approach in IBM SPSS Software Version 23.00. The findings showed that teachers’ social support successfully enhanced CDSE. Also, CDSE was significantly affected by social support received from peers. On the other hand, this study confirmed that there was no significant effect of parents’ social support on CDSE. The results contributed to the career counseling program for high school students by taking into account teachers’ and peers’ social support.
