Durch Umsetzungen von Na2[Cr(C6H5)5 · Ae] ·2 Ae bzw. Li3Cr(C6H5)6 · 2,5 Ae mit CrCl3 · 3 THF in stöchiometrischen Verhältnissen in Tetrahydrofuran oder Dimethylglykoläther konnten das Kurrassche Cr(C6H5)Cl2 · 3 THF und die neue Verbindung Cr(C6H5)2Cl · 1,5 DMÄ (DMÄ = Dimethylglykoläther) erhalten werden. Letztere ist von kakaobrauner Farbe, ergibt bei der Umsetzung mit Sublimat 2 Mol Phenylquecksilberchlorid pro Chromatom und erweist sich als thermisch recht stabil. Eine Umwandlung in Aromatenkomplexe gelingt nur nach extremer Behandlung der Festsubstanz bei 100°C, was aber mit einer tiefgreifenden Teilzersetzung verbunden ist. Die chemischen und magnetischen Eigenschaften der genannten Verbindungen und ihre Umsetzung mit Jod werden beschrieben.
