The quest for lead-free light-absorbing perovskite materials has long been the target of researchers to make the ‘star’ material friendly to the commercial market.
Crystal clear: After two decades of controversy the elusive skew‐boat conformation of L‐iduronic acid (see picture) was finally ascertained at atomic resolution in a synthetic, substituted disaccharide. This highly flexible compound crystallizes in two dimorphs. This rare case of dimorphism in oligosaccharides is all the more remarkable in that the 2SO conformation crystallizes in both forms.
is the 1,3-Bis (naphthylideneimino) propane dianion, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic methods. This compound consists of 1D uniform chains in which the two types of Cu(II) ions, one with a distorted square pyramidal (Cu1) and the other with a distorted trigonal bipyramidal (Cu2) geometry, are interlinked by single end-on azido bridges. The magnetic properties of the complex have also been studied. Temperature-and field-dependent magnetic analyses reveal that antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu2 centers are mediated by the single EO bridges, while Cu1 moments remain paramagnetic. The cyclic voltammetric study reveals the existence of two structurally different copper(II) centers and the resulting data conform to the crystal structure of this complex determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography.____________ [a]
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
