The sorption rate of monomers from the aqueous phase into polymer particles is determined by ultrasonic velocity measurements as well as by isothermal evaporation analysis. This sorption rate is higher than the sorption rate of monomer during the steady state of emulsion polymerization. Hence, the reaction proceeds under equilibrium conditions with respect to the monomer distribution between polymer particles and monomer reservoirs.
8‐Chinolyl‐diphenyrphosphin (CDPP) reagiert in der Regel als Chelatligand mit wasserfreien Salzen von FeII, CoII, NiII und CuII in Aceton zu Elektrolytkomplexen der allgemeinen Formel [(CDPP)2MX]X–M = Fe, Co, Nij X = Cl, Br‐ bzw. [CDPPCuX]2X2–X = Cl, Br‐.
Chiral 2-azapentadienyl lithium compounds 1, easily available by deprotonation of the corresponding N-allylimines 2, react with symmetrical and asymmetrical ketones and aldehydes to form new chiral, vinyl-substituted 4,5-dihydro-oxazoles 3. The structural properties of 1 in the gas phase and in solution were studied by quantum chemical calculations and NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray diffraction structure of 4,5-dihydro-oxazole 3d indicates the formation of a benzhydrol adduct. The new reactions are interpreted in terms of regioselective, stepwise additions of the carbonyl compounds to carbon atom C3 of 1 and subsequent removal of the chiral nucleofugal group.
Stereochemistry 3-AzabicyclicKetones from 1,3-Dialkoxy-2-azapropenylium Salts and Enamines of Cyclic Ketones 1,3-Diethoxy-2-azapropenylium salts 1 are powerful biselectrophiles and react diastereoselectively with enamines of fivemembered ring ketones 2 to yield novel 3-azabicyclo[3.2.l]oct-2-en-8-ones 5 after hydrolysis of the intermediate iminium salts 3,4. Some of the iminium salts 3 can be hydrolyzed further to provide the diketo imines 6. With enamines of six-membered ring ketones 7 the 3-azabicyclo[3.3.l]non-2-en-9-ones 10, 11 are obtained after hydrolytic workup. Mixtures of diastereomers 10/11 are found in the case of 7a, b, whereas with 7 g -j the endo-phenyl derivatives 10 are formed exclusively. With the unsymmetrical enamine 7b only one regioisomer is observed. The decalone enamine 12 reacts with la to yield the tricyclic iminium salt 13. -The configuration of the bicyclic products has been determined by using NMR spectroscopic techniques (COSY, polarisation transfer by long range couplings); an X-Ray analysis of compound 10a is used as basis for the NMR assignments. General rules for the determination of the stereochemistry of these azabicyclic systems by 'H-NMR shift arguments are derived.2-A~apropenylium-Salze['~ bieten sich als biselektrophile Verbindungen (,,doppelte Mannich-Salze") fur die Umsetzung rnit Bisnucleophilen zu heterocyclischen Verbindungen an.
Alkylation of aliphatic imides 5 by use of oxonium salts takes place at one of the carbonyl oxygen atoms, leading to alkoxy‐substituted N‐acyliminium salts 1. These new reactive intermediates are fully characterized by IR, 1H‐ and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray analysis. The stereochemical and dynamical properties of the model compounds 6, 7 are investigated by ab initio model calculations (MP2/6–31G*//6–31G*). The barrier of rotation around the central C—N bond in 6 is calculated to 10.2 kcal/mol. The reaction with CH acids 8 yields new types of enamides (9); primary amines 10 are converted to N‐acylamidines 11. Primary amidines 12 react with 1 to form new 1,3‐diazabutadiene derivatives 13. The reaction with primary amides 14 gives N,N‐bisacylamidines 15. With primary N‐acylamidines 16 new doubly azavinylogous imides 17 (1‐oxa‐3,5‐diazahexatriene derivatives) are formed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
