P.Köln XII 488, written before AD 245-8, contains calculations of taxes in kind levied on various types of land in the Oxyrhynchite nome. The document helps us to better understand and reconstruct a similar calculation in P.Oxy. Hels. 22, 23-27. Both texts in turn shed light on the question if and to what extent there was continuity in these matters from Ptolemaic into Roman times. The Oxyrhynchite evidence differs noticably from the Arsinoite, which itself shows local differences. Arsinoite SB XX 14088 is an atypical calculation of grain taxes; part of this document is re-edited.
