Bei der Kondensation von in 5-Stellung unsubstituierten Thiazolyl-(2)-hydrazonen, N.N-Diphenyl-N'-thiazolyl-(2)-hydrazinen oder NB-Acetyl-thiazolyl-(2)hydrazinen rnit p-Nitroso-dialkylanilinen bzw. Nitrosobenzol entstehen die entsprechenden, intensiv farbigen Azomethine, deren Absorptiotkmaxima bestimmt wurden. -Setzt man dagegen an Stelle der aromatischen Nitrosoverbindungen Benzaldehyd oder dessen p-Dialkylamino-Derivate ein, so werden meist die farblosen Bis-[thiazolyl-(5)]-phenyl-methan-Abk6mmlinge gebildet.In zwei Fallen konnte daneben das tieffarbige, chinoide Monokondensationsprodukt isoliert werden.
Die katalytische Hydrierung der in der I. und III. Mitteil. beschriebenen δ‐Ketonitrile führt unter gleichzeitigem Ringschluß zu Pyridyl‐piperidin‐Derivaten, deren Konstitution z. T. auch auf anderem Wege bewiesen wurde.
Es werden die Umsetzungen von Pyridyl‐(2)‐acetonitril mit Benzal‐acetophenon, 2‐Pyridal‐acetophenon, Benzal‐aceton zu den entsprechenden δ‐Ketonitrilen beschrieben.
