Wie in früheren Arbeiten gezeigt wurde, entsteht bei der Umsetzung von 1‐Methylcyclopentanol‐1 oder Cyclohexanol mit Natriumazid in Gegenwart von konz. Schwefelsäure neben anderen Produkten 2‐Methylpiperidein. In Fortführung dieser Arbeiten wurden die Untersuchungen auch auf die an das 1‐Methycyclopentanol‐1 sich anschließenden höheren 1‐Alkylcyclopentanole‐1 ausgedehnt. Wie die Versuche ergaben, entstehen hierbei die entsprechenden Alkylpiperideine, die sich bei der papierchromatographischen Analyse der Reaktionsprodukte im System Butanol‐Eisessig‐Wasser 4:1:5 alle als schöne gelbe Flecke kurz nach dem Besprühen mit Ninhydrin schon ohne Erwärmung nachweisen lassen. Untersucht wurden das 1‐Äthyl‐, 1‐n‐Propyl‐ und 1‐n‐Butyleyclopentanol‐1. Die unter den gewählten Versuchsbedingungen erreichten Ausbeuten steigen mit der Verlängerung des Alkylrestes stetig an. Sie betragen beim 2‐Methylpiperidein etwa 12% und beim 2‐n‐Butylpiperidein etwa 26%.
Die m‐p‐Kresolfraktion enthält neben Kresolen noch insgesamt 17% Guajacol, o‐Äthylphenol, 2,4‐Dimethylphenol, 2,5‐Dimethylphenol und 2,6‐Dimethylphenol. In Arbeiten von LANDA und MOSTECKÝ wird aus den Veröffentlichungen von PREISS der Schluß gezogen, daß in dem aus mitteldeutscher Braunkohle hergestellten Braunkohlenschwelteer o‐Äthylphenol nicht festgestellt wurde. Demgegenüber wird nachgewiesen, daß das o‐Äthylphenol in der m‐p‐Kresolfraktion mit zu suchen ist und in dieser einen wesentlichen Nebenbestandteil darstellt.
Bei der Umsetzung von Cyclohexanol oder 1‐Methylcyclopentanol‐1 mit Natriumazid und Schwefelsäure bilden sich mehrere flüchtige basische Produkte, die mit Butanol‐Eisessig‐Wasser 4:1:5 papierchromatographisch gut trennbar und mit Ninhydrin anfärbbar sind. Hierbei zeigt sich, daß sowohl aus Cyclohexanol (bzw. Cyclohexen) wie auch aus 1‐Methylcyclopentanol‐1 eine wasserdampfflüchtige Verbindung gebildet wird, die mit Ninhydrin schön gelb anfärbbar ist und im Rf‐ Wert in beiden Fällen übereinstimmt. Die Untersuchungen ergaben, daß es sich um die gleiche Verbindung der Formel C6H11N, einer einfach ungesättigten Base handelt. Diese basische Verbindung, die in etwa 12proz. Ausbeute bei der Aufarbeitung der Umsetzungsprodukte von Natriumazid mit Cyclohexanol oder mit 1‐Methylcyclopentanol‐1 isoliert werden konnte, wurde als 2‐Methylpiperidein identifiziert. Bei Cyclohexanol bildet sich neben Ammoniak und weiteren im System Butanol‐Eisessig‐Wasser trennbaren Produkten(1) in größerer Menge eine plastische Masse, während beim 1‐Methylcyclopentanol‐1 neben Ammoniak und Methylamin ein höhersiedendes Gemisch einbasischer Verbindungen der ungefähren Zusammensetzung C12H21N, das im Papierchromatogramm vergleichsweise beim Rf‐Wert des n‐Hexylamins liegt und mit Ninhydrin bräunlichgelb anfärbbar ist, in etwa 12proz. Ausbeute isoliert werden konnte. Im Verteilungssystem 2‐Äthylhexanol‐Ameisensäure‐Wasser 4:1:5 gelang es, dieses Basengemisch papierchromatographisch in zwei mit Ninhydrin gelb bzw. gelbbraun anfärbbare Haupt‐ und eine violett anfärbbare Nebenkomponente aufzutrennen, die vergleichsweise alle im Rf‐Wert beim n‐Hexylamin liegen.
InhaltsubcrsichtDie auf Braunkohlenbasis in Mitteldeutschland anfallenden technischen Rohphenololdestillationsriickstande enthalten neben groBeren Mengen an Alkylphenolen u. a.Bestandteilen etwa 5% Carbonsiiuren in Form der Natriumsalze. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird uber die Zusamrnensetzung dieser Carbonsiiuren berichtet. Die Carbonsiiuren wurden nach zwei etwas verschiedenen Methoden aus zwei in Leuna angefallenen technischen Rohphenololdestillationsriickstiinden gewonnen, indem einmal die Carbonsiiuren in Form ihrer Natriumsalze mit Wasser extrahiert und die daraus gewonnenen Carbonsiiuren destillativ zerlegt wurden, wiihrend aus einer anderen Probe die Carbonsiiuren durch Extraktion mit Sodalosung und anschlieDender Veresterung uber die Methylester destillativ aufgetrennt wurden. Die nach beiden Methoden erhaltenen Destillatfraktionen wurden neben anderen Untersuchungsmethoden dem Abbau nach SCHMIDT mit Stickstoffwasserstoffsiiure unterworfen und die erhaltenen Amine papierchromatographisch charakterisiert. Die Analysenergebnisse stimmen dabei prinzipiell iiberein, lediglich bei der Untersuchung der Carbonsiiuren iiber die Methylester wurden noch in Form der Amine eine grooere Menge an Clound geringe Anteile an C,,-Carbonsliuren gefunden. Zusammenfassend kann gesagt werden, daB in den in Leuna anfallenden technischen Rohphenololdestillationsruckstiinden die Anwesenheit der Carbonsiiuren bis C,, nachgewiesen werden konnte und die Siiuren vorwiegend aliphatischer Natur sind. Hohere Fettsiiuren ab Laurinsiiure konnten nicht gefunden werden, die niederen Siiuren unterhalb der Valeriansiiure (C2-, C,-und C,-Siiuren) sind nur in geringen Mengen enthalten (Gesamtmenge unter 4%). Die Hauptanteile der isolierten Carbonsiiuren bilden auf Grund des ScmIDT-Abbaues und den dabei papierchromatographisch nachgewiesenen Aminen die C,-, C,und C,-Siiuren, das Maximum liegt bei den C,-Sliuren. EinleitungBei der destillativen Aufarbeitung der Rohphenolole auf Reinprodukte fallen in den Leuna-Werken in erheblichem Umfang Destillationsruckstande an, die noch eine grol3e Menge an Alkylphenolen neben anderen Bestandteilen enthalten. Vom Standpunkt ihrer Inhaltsstoffe aus stellen diese Destillationsriickstlnde noch wertvolle, bisher nur unzureichend genutzte Rohstoffe dar. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden die Carbonsaurebestandteile dieser Rohphenololdestillationsruckstande naher charak terisiert.
