Teaching media are essential in the teaching and learning English. The use of appropriate media in teaching a new language will help teachers create more effective learning environment in the classrooms. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study explores what kinds of teaching media used by the teachers in teaching English and what factors influencing English teachers’ selection of teaching media in the classroom. This study was conducted at SMP Unismuh Makassar, involving two English teachers who have worked there for several years. The researcher used interview and observation as instruments in data collection process. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display and data verification. The results of the study show that the teachers make use of four kinds of media, namely graphic media such as textbook and picture, media video such as video, projected media such as Power Point and display media such as a board. In addition, the factors influencing the teachers’ selection of those media are time availability, media availability, students’ characteristics, and students’ needs
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pembelajaran IPA pada masa pandemi covid-19 di SD Al-Azhar Wonosari . Tujuan dari penelitaian ini adalah mengatahui strategi pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada pembelajaran IPA di sekolah pada masa pandemi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksaan pembelajaran CTL pada mata pelajarn IPA dan subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah SD Al-Azhar Wonosari. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah strategi pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) di SD AL-Azhar Wonosari dilakukan dengan tahap-tahap sebagai berikut: komponen kontruktivisme, komponen inqury, komponen bertanya, komponen masyarakat belajar, komponen model, komponen refleksi dan komponen penilaian. Pada masa pandemi covid-19 strategi yang diterapkan oleh sekolah adalah dengan membangun hubungan baik dengan orang tua yang mana sebagai pendamping belajar peserta didik di rumah. Kendala yang dihadapi pada penerapan pembelajaran CTL pada mata pelajaran IPA di masa pandemi covid-19 ketika pembelajaran dilakukan dirumah yaitu pertama, orang tua terkendala dalam mendampingi anak belajar karena aktivitas dan kesibukan. Kedua, terjadi miskomunikasi karena ada beberapa informasi yang tidak dipahami oleh orang tua.
This research is motivated by the fact that the theories that have developed so far usually experience a cycle of change from time to time, including the theory of behaviorism. This theory is interesting to measure, observe, analyze, and test objectively in a scientific framework. The problem in this research is how the role and development of the application of behavioristic learning theory in learning. This research is qualitative. The approach in this study is a critical analysis of the behavioristic learning theory of B.F. Skinner who developed in the world of education. The source of data in this study is library research through critical analysis of sinta indexed journal articles in 2014-2020. The results of the research analysis concluded that the thinking of B.F. Skinner is in line with Al-Gazali's thoughts and Abdullah Nasih 'Ulum's thoughts on educational thinking, namely changes in student behavior will be influenced by the learning environment, one of which is the educator, then a child will become a good person if the educator has a good personality too
Abstrak: Penelitian ini melihat pembelajaran IPA di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Muhammadiyah Watubelah selama masa pandemi, khususnya untuk melihat bagaimana pembelajaran IPA diintegrasikan dengan akidah Islam pada masa wabah Covid-19. Pendekatan penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas V di sekolah tersebut. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa guru di sekolah tersebut mengalami kesulitan mengintegrasikan keyakinan Islam ke dalam kurikulum sains selama pandemi Covud-19. Faktor pertama yaitu rutinitas pembelajaran online yang berlangsung cukup lama menyebabkan siswa kehilangan fokus dan menjadi bosan sehingga mengakibatkan hilangnya semangat. Faktor kedua yaitu pembelajaran online melalui tugas di grup WhatsApp tidak memungkinkan guru mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam pembelajaran IPA. Faktor ketiga yaitu pembelajaran tatap muka dibatasi 50% dari jumlah siswa dan dilakukan selama 2 jam karena kelas dibagi dua, mengharuskan guru mengulang materi yang sama pada pertemuan lain, menyebabkan guru hanya fokus pada menyampaikan materi inti, dari pada integrasi nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam pembelajaran IPA. MI Muhammadiyah Watubelah harus membenahi atau menata ulang perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di masa Covid-19. Hal ini harus dilakukan agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai.Abstract: This study observes science learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (an Islamic Primary School) Muhammadiyah Watubelah during the pandemic, particularly to observe how Islamic values were integrated in science learning during the COVID-19 outbreak. The research approach was descriptive qualitative. The research subject was a fifth grade teacher at the school. The findings showed that the teacher at the school had difficulty in integrating Islamic values into the science curricula during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first factor was that the online learning routine lasted long enough causing students to lose focus and get bored, resulting in loss of enthusiasm. The second factor was that online assignments in WhatsApp groups did not allow the teacher to integrate Islamic values into the learning process. The third factor was that face-to-face learning was limited to 50% students and was carried out for two hours since it was divided into two sessions. It demanded the teacher to repeat the same materials causing less focus of the teacher in delivering the materials, instead of the Islamic values. The Muhammadiyah Watubelah Primary school must rearrange the learning planning and implementation during the COVID-19 period. This must be done so that the learning objectives can be achieved.
