Evaluation is an analytical and organized process to figure out the present positive influences, favourable future prospects, existing shortcomings and ulterior complexities of any plan, program, practice or a policy. Evaluation of policy is an essential and vital process required to measure the performance or progression of the scheme. The main purpose of policy evaluation is to empower various stakeholders and enhance their socio-economic environment. A large number of policies or schemes in different areas are launched by government in view of citizen welfare. Although, the governmental policies intend to better shape up the life quality of people but may also impact their every day’s life. A latest governmental scheme Saubhagya launched by Indian government in 2017 has been selected for evaluation by applying opinion mining techniques. The data set of public opinion associated with this scheme has been captured by Twitter. The primary intent is to offer opinion mining as a smart city technology that harness the user-generated big data and analyse it to offer a sustainable governance model.

In this research article an attempt is made to investigate the effect of hydrostatic pressure on the propagation behavior of Partial Discharge (PD) acoustic emission (AE) signals in a simple experimental tank. A mathematical model has been developed in the form of partial differential equations (PDEs) for PD acoustic wave propagation in transformer oil in a steel tank. A Finite Element Analysis tool (FEMLAB), has been used to simulate the propagation of the acoustic waves. The simulation results show that the speed of the acoustic signal varies with the depth of the source location demonstrating hydrostatic pressure affects AE wave propagation. Furthermore, the effect of hydrostatic pressure was investigated and conformed experimentally. It is concluded that the propagation speed is not constant within the tank and increases with tank depth. If the effect of increased acoustic velocities due to hydrostatic pressure is ignored then the possibility of practical PD location algorithms inferring the incorrect location in high voltage assets, such as oil filled transformers, will be increased significantly.
Investment in mutual funds in Oman is getting more acceptable among the Omanis and other resident communitiesespecially in sharia compliance funds. This is a comparative study that aims to evaluate risks and returns of selected mutual funds in Oman for the period of 2016 till June 2018 from the perspective of passive investors in Oman. Till date there are three Sharia funds in Oman and all the three were launched in 2013. This research investigates the performance of mutual funds on the basis of average returns and the risks involved in the selected conventional and sharia funds applying different tools such as Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio, Treynor ratio, and Jensen alpha. The study shows that there has been no significant difference in performances between the shariacompliance mutual funds and the selected conventional funds.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
