A interação dos profissionais da saúde ainda na graduação, torna-se possível por meio de iniciativas como o Programa de Educação pelo Trabalho para a Saúde (PET-Saúde), o qual se constitui em um instrumento que viabiliza a inserção dos estudantes no Sistema Único de Saúde - SUS, visando à iniciação ao trabalho científico, estágios e vivências do cotidiano do serviço, contribuindo para a formação de profissionais mais comprometidos com a realidade de saúdee sua transformação. O presente trabalho trata-se de um relato de experiência de caráter descritivo, com o objetivo de relatar a experiência de uma aluna de graduação em Odontologia da Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM), participante do PET-Saúde/Saúde Mental-Drogas/UFVJM e ex-participante do PET-Saúde/Vigilância em Saúde/UFVJM. O PET-Saúde/Vigilância a Saúde da UFVJM, é composto por dois grupos tutoriais sendoque o grupo do qual a acadêmica participou visava ampliar o acesso á testagem para diagnóstico de contaminação pelo vírus HIV, utilizando testes-rápidos. O PET-Saúde/Saúde Mental-Drogas/UFVJM tem como proposta, dentre outros objetivos, qualificar acadêmicos técnicamente, científicamente e tecnologicamente na área da saúde mental, com abordagem a álcool e outras drogas. Além disso, o programa PET-Saúde/UFVJM estimula o aluno a desenvolveratividades de pesquisa com propostas de mudança efetivas em sua realidade. Desta forma, percebe-se que a integração ensino-serviço-comunidade pode ser utilizada como um instrumento valioso na promoção social e no exercício da cidadania, tornando-se fundamental na diminuição das problemáticas sociais existentes.

Introduction: Early rehabilitation of patients with strokes isan important component in interdisciplinarity within thehospital environment since, in addition to other interventions.they culminate in early mobilization by removing patientsfrom their beds as soon as possible. Guidelines recommendthe start of motor physiotherapy as early as possible, althoughthe results of published studies are still inconclusive as to therelevant benefits of these interventions. Objective: To analyzethe importance of the performance of physiotherapists in theacute phase of the stroke in the hospital environment througha narrative review of the literature. Methods: to construct thisnarrative review, a search of data in the literature was madethrough consultation of the electronic databases: Scielo, Bireme,Pub Med, Lilacs Google Scholar and specialized booksin the field. We excluded any articles that addressed cerebrovascularaccidents in the chronic phase and those that werepublished before the year 2000. Results: The articles analyzedconsider that physiotherapy can be considered a great ally inrehabilitation, thus reducing the risks of clinical complicationsby acting early in the hospital phase of the post-stroke patient.Conclusion: Through early mobilization and the relevance ofphysiotherapeutic intervention in the prevention of clinicalcomplications, motor gains in the performance of daily lifeactivities (ADLs) and quality of life (QoL) of these patientscan be seen.Keywords: Rehabilitation; Physiotherapy; Stroke; Earlyintervention

Purpose: To compare the effect of intramuscular administration of dexamethasone versus Traumeel S® on patients' oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) after surgical extraction of impacted lower third molars (3M). Patients and methods: A randomized, triple-blinded clinical trial was conducted. The sample was composed of 17 patients with asymptomatic bilateral lower 3M positioned as class IIB according to the Pell and Gregory classification. The patients were randomly assigned into 2 groups: intramuscular dexamethasone or Traumeel S®. The OHRQoL was assessed using the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP) version 14. It was considered patients' perception regarding different quality of life dimensions, in the first seven postoperative days. Results: There was a significant OHRQoL improvement in the dexamethasone group when compared to Traumeel S® group. It was noted a significant decrease of psychological disability and psychological discomfort in patients receiving dexamethasone vs those receiving Traumeel S®. Conclusion: Intramasseteric injection of dexamethasone showed a greater improvement of the OHRQoL following 3M surgeries when compared to Traumeel S® injection.
