CUB screening offers a significant improvement in sensitivity over second-trimester biochemical screening and is deliverable within a routine prenatal clinical setting.

Refractive outcomes following routine cataract surgery reported here are well within the targets recommended by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and European guidelines, but suggest that higher cataract refractive outcome benchmark standards may not yet be a realistic expectation for all NHS units with current biometry practice.

This study objectively demonstrates the under-reported clinical scenario of head drift during cataract surgery. By manipulating the Eyesi we have shown that eye movements reduce the quality of cataract surgery.
