De acordo com a Organização mundial de saúde (OMS), o Brasil possui grandes índices de violência, se tornando um dos países mais violentos do globo. Só nas últimos décadas, cerca de 553 mil pessoas vieram a óbito devido à violência intencional. Sabe-se que muitas dessas agressões podem acontecer em âmbito doméstico. Este estudo objetivou conhecer a percepção da equipe de enfermagem acerca da violência doméstica contra a mulher. Sendo uma revisão da literatura brasileira, realizada entre os meses de dezembro de 2020 e janeiro de 2021, nas principais bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde. Constatou-se através da leitura aprofundada dos artigos selecionados, que os profissionais possuem uma visão limitada acerca da violência contra a mulher, considerando as capacitações e treinamentos como estratégias importantes para se qualificarem e prestarem um melhor atendimento.
As mudanças na formação dos profissionais de saúde têm ganhado relevância no mundo.No Brasil, o Ministério da Saúde através das Residências Médicas e Multiprofissionais, assume a responsabilidade de orientar a formação desses profissionais para atender às necessidades do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS).No entanto, no início da década de 70 apenas o modelo de Pós-graduação na modalidade de Residência Médica era regulamentado, e somente ao final da mesma década outras categoriais profissionais foram incluídas com objetivo de estabelecer um modelo de atenção integral e no desenvolvimento do processo de trabalho integrado entre os profissionais da saúde. De início os programas eram fortemente atrelados à Estratégia de Saúde da Família (ESF), mas atualmente ganham espaço também nos serviços hospitalares.No contexto atual de pandemia causado pelo SARS-CoV-2, vale destacar a contribuição dos profissionais de saúde residentes prestando a assistência necessária para reduzir a disseminação do vírus, recuperar o estado de saúde dos pacientes, e consequentemente, evitar que os sistemas de saúde ficassem sobrecarregados.Em nossos livros selecionamos um dos capítulos para premiação como forma de incentivo para os autores, e entre os excelentes trabalhos selecionados para compor este livro, o premiado foi o capítulo 7, intitulado "TELESSAÚDE COMO FERRAMENTA PARA CAPACITAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL DURANTE A PANDEMIA DO SARS-COV-2".
O uso da ventilação mecânica em pronação foi incorporado na prática clínica recentemente, após estudos demonstrarem que a perda de volume pulmonar nos doentes em decúbito dorsal com síndrome do desconforto respiratório agudo possui relação direta com a gravidade. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o uso da técnica de pronação em pacientes submetidos a ventilação mecânica. O estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo revisão integrativa da literatura. A busca por estudos foi realizada através da estratégia PICO, que representa um acrônimo para Pacientes (P), Intervenção (I), Comparação (C) e Desfechos (O-outcomes). A coleta de dados ocorreu no mês de agosto de 2021 nas bases de dados da National Library of Medicine e na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Foram incluídos 14 artigos nesta revisão. Quantos aos resultados evidenciou-se que os principais benefícios da pronação, são: melhorar a oxigenação e minimizar a ventilação prejudicial; evitar o uso e complicações do bloqueio neuromuscular; melhorar a pressão de oxigênio no sangue arterial e o nível de saturação nos pacientes, entre outras. Apesar da presença de complicações, como as lesões por pressão que foram relativamente comuns, a pronação está associada com uma redução da mortalidade e seu uso é altamente recomendado, uma vez que, as complicações são relativamente ínfimas, quando comparadas aos benefícios desta prática. Entretanto, no protocolo desta técnica é recomendável adesão de medidas de proteção. Portanto, cabe à equipe, avaliar a melhor abordagem para tratar e acompanhar os clientes que se encontram em uso de ventilação mecânica.
Relatar a experiência de realizar um projeto de extensão na pandemia por COVID-19 utilizando-se de tecnologias para efetivação da educação em saúde. Trata-se de um relato de experiência de natureza descritiva, utilizando-se do método de sistematização de experiências proposto por Oscar Jara Holliday. A utilização de tecnologias como o Instagram mostrou-se eficiente para dá continuidade às atividades de extensão, possibilitando levar informações a um grande número de pessoas contribuindo com o empoderamento acerca da saúde sexual das gestantes, e ao mesmo tempo permitiu-se que houvesse o incentivo a medidas de prevenção do contágio contra o SARS-CoV-2. O desenvolvimento do projeto de extensão “Desmistificando a sexualidade na gestação”, contribuiu para ampliar a formação acadêmica, como também cooperou a construir uma sociedade consciente da importância da saúde sexual tornando-os empoderados sobre a função sexual na gestação.
