Unter den zahlreichen Oxy-amino-naphthalin-sulfonsauren haben besonders das 2.1.4-und das 2.1.6-Isomere Bedeutung erlangt.Ihre Darstellung erfolgte erstmals durch R. MeZdoZa2) mittels Reduktion der entsprechenden 1-Nitroso-2-oxy-naphthalin-sulfonsiluren. Fast zur gleichen Zeit erhielt P . Griesss) die 2.1.4-Verbindung durch reduktive Spaltung des Azofarbstoffes aus 2-Oxynaphthalin-~ulfonsillure-(4) und diazotierter Amino-benzoesiiure, einer Methode, die splter 0. N . Witt4) gleichsinnig zur Darstellung des 2.1.6-Isomeren angewandt hat. Wenn auch die Darstellung der beiden Verbindungen aus den Azofarbstoffen wertvoll ist, so erfolgt die technische Gewinnung der beiden Isomeren fast ausschliel3lich auf dem erstgenannten Wege. M. Boniger6) verdanken wir Angaben fiir eine bessere Darstellung der 2.1.4-Verbindung, nach denen man @-Naphthol durch Nitrosierung in 1-Nitroso-2-oxy-naphthalin uberfiihrt ; die Nitrosoverbindung wird dann unter gleichzeitiger Reduktion in 4-Stellung sulfuriert. Auf giinzlich anderem Wege, namlich durch direkte Hydroxylierung der Amino-naphthalin-sulfonsilure, haben kiirzlich E . Bamann und K . Schriever die Oxyamino-naphthalin-sulfonsilure gewinnen konnen : in hydrogensulfit-haltigem Milieu wurde aus Naphthionsaure mit Hilfe von PersulfaV) oder ozonhaltigem Sauerstoff') reine 2-Oxy-1 -amino-naphthalin-sulfonsiiure-(4) erhalten.Die beiden Verbindungen finden hauptsachlich zur Herstellung von Azofarbstoffen Verwendung. Auf Grund ihrer reduzierenden Eigenschaften kommen sie ferner bei kolorimetrischen Phosphatbestimmungen zur Reduktion der Phosphormolybdansiiure gerne zur Anwendung ; das Natriumsalz der 2.1.6-Verbindung dient auIerdem unter dem Namen ,,Eikonogen" als photographischer Entwickler. SchlieBlich erfolgt die Darstellung der beiden P-Naphthochinon-sulfonsiluren auf dem Wege iiber diese beiden Oxy-amino-sulfon-&hen.Wrihrend die Bezeichnung ,,Ei konog en" nur dem N a t r i u m s a l z der 2 -Ox y -1 -am i n on a p h t h a l i n-sulfonsaure-(6) zukommt*), wird darunter von manchen AutorenB) das 2.1.4-Isomere verstanden; W .
