Sandwich und Triple-Decker Complexes of 1.4-Diboracyclohexadienes Starting with 1.4-Dibora-2-cyclohexene Derivatives Reactions of 1,4-dibora-2-cyclohexene derivatives 1 with tran-dimeric carbonyl (cyclopentadienyl) complexes of nickel and sition-metal complex fragments yield the complexes of 1,4-iron, respectively. The bis(methallylnicke1) tripledecker 9a is dibora-2,5-cyclohexadienes 2 by dehydrogenation. The tetra-obtained as a mixture of cisltrans isomers, l a and [(C,H,)

1,2,3,4-Tetramethyl-1,4-diboracyclohex-2-ene (1) reacts in THF solution with two equivalents of potassium metal to yield a red solution of the dianion 12-. Reactions of 1·2 K with allylnickel bromide dimer, cyclooctadiene-rhodium chloride dimer or bis(ethene)rhodium chloride dimer give the triple-deckers 3, 4, and 5, respectively. The constitution of the diamagnetic (30 VE) triple-deckers is derived from NMR and MS data.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
