Nüfusun artışıyla birlikte enerji gereksinimi artmakta, ülkeler enerji ihtiyacını gidermek amacıyla nükleer enerjiyi tercih etmektedir. Özellikle küresel ısınmaya yol açmadığı ve yüksek oranda enerji ürettiği için nükleer santraller alternatif olarak görülmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra nükleer enerjinin çevre ve insan sağlığını tehdit edici boyutları da bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda nükleer santrallerde güvenlik kavramı çok önemlidir. Tasarım aşamasındaki güvenlik tedbirleri dışında santral çalışırken uygulanacak iş sağlığı ve güvenliği tedbirleri hem çevre hem de insan sağlığı açısından önem taşımaktadır. Nükleer tesislerde, gerekli önlemler alınmadığı takdirde çalışanlar iş sağlığı ve güvenliği anlamında tehlike ve risklere maruz kalmakta, kazalar sonucunda radyoaktif maddeler suya ve toprağa karışarak çevre kirliliğine neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca radyoaktif kirlenme ile insan sağlığı açısından büyük tehditler oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, nükleer enerjinin riskleri, insan sağlığına etkileri ve meydana gelen nükleer kazalardan bahsedilmiştir. Makale, literatürde yer alan çalışmalar kapsamında hazırlanmış olup, nükleer tesislerdeki güvenlik uygulamaları ve beraberinde alınması gereken iş sağlığı ve güvenliği tedbirleri değerlendirilmiştir.
Tarih boyunca yaşanan teknolojik gelişmelere ayak uydurmaya çalışırken günlük yaşantımız da hızla değişmektedir. Bu değişim modern çağın en önemli ve yaşamın her alanını kapsayan bir dönüşümü olarak nitelendirilebilecek olan dijitalleşmedir. Özellikle Covid-19 pandemisi ile birlikte yaygınlık gösteren dijitalleşme, iş yaşamında iş sağlığı ve güvenliği (İSG) uygulamalarının dönüşümünü kaçınılmaz kılmakta ve İSG faaliyetlerinin dijitalleştirilmesi fırsatını zorunlu kılmaktadır. Endüstri 4.0 ile birlikte üretimin sürece uyum sağlamasıyla, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği kapsamında İSG 4.0 olarak nitelendirilen dijital İSG yöntemleri ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu kapsamda performans iyileştirmesi, risklerin ve iş kazalarının azaltılmasına yönelik destekleyici faaliyetler ile iş yaşamına ilişkin çeşitli kısıtlamalarla beraber karşılaşılan zorluklar da azaltılmak istenmektedir. Bu bakımdan teknolojik gelişmelere uyumlu ve pratik olacak şekilde işyerindeki sağlık ve güvenliği sağlamak adına geliştirilen uygulamalar önem taşımaktadır. Bütün bunları göz önüne alınarak bu çalışma, literatürde yer alan çalışmalar taranarak derleme niteliğinde hazırlanmış olup, dijitalleşme ve beraberinde getirdiği yeni fırsatlara yönelik geliştirilen İSG alanındaki yenilikler, güncel çalışmalar ve yeni teknolojilerin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği alanındaki kullanım alanları hakkında bilgi vermek amacı ile hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada, dijital yöntemlerin avantajları ile yaşanan gelişmelerin iş yaşamı üzerindeki etkilerine yer verilmiştir.
Tozlu ortamların olduğu işyerleri çalışan sağlığı açısından birçok risk barındırmakta, solunabilir tozlar, mesleki solunum sistemi hastalıklarına yol açarak çalışanların sağlığını tehdit etmektedir. Bu bakımdan etkili bir tedavisi olmayan solunum sistemi hastalıklarına ilişkin tozla mücadele yöntemleri önem taşımaktadır. Özellikle erken tanı, hastalığın ilerleyişi ve maruziyetin belirlenerek gerekli tedbirlerin alınması açısından önemlidir. Diğer taraftan işyeri hekimi tarafından konulan tanıların sisteme yansıması, mesleki solunum sistemi hastalıklarının boyutunun belirlenmesi için gereklidir. İşyerlerinde, tozlara ilişkin risk değerlendirmesi ve proaktif önlemler ile güvenli çalışma ortamı oluşmakta ve meslek hastalıkları önlenebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, tozların neden olduğu meslek hastalıkları incelenmiş olup korunma önlemleri ve tozla mücadele kapsamında yapılacak olan iş sağlığı ve güvenliği çalışmaları değerlendirilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda çalışma, tozların işyerlerinde iş sağlığı ve güvenliği önlemlerine uygun olarak kullanılması ve tozla mücadelede iş sağlığı ve güvenliğinin önemini göstermeyi amaçlamaktadır.
