The study aims at identifying the factors influencing the seasonality effect in the stock market and further identifying the relationship between the influencing factors. The study aims at conducting a complete analysis of the influencing factors along with measuring their impact on seasonality using Social Network Analysis (SNA). The factors affecting the seasonality effect in the stock market were identified through the literature review. Experts’ opinions were sought for determining the relationship among the factors and finally, the importance of those factors was analyzed using Social Network Analysis (SNA). It was found that volatility is the most important factor affecting the other factors of seasonality and consequently seasonality effect finally. Besides, earning announcements, dividend, and January effects strongly influence the effect of seasonality in the stock market because of their higher in-degree and out-degree. To understand the mechanism of the stock market, the policymakers need to impart training to the investors through awareness campaign or by opening learning investors’ Club at different places. With this they can evaluate their standing in the stock market and the capability of bearing the risk which, in the long run, will be reflected in their investment behavior along with that the culture of equity investing will also be promoted among the investors.

The study aims at conducting a complete analysis of the influencing factors along with measuring their impact on disposition effect using Social Network Analysis (SNA).The factors affecting disposition effect on investors were identified through the literature review. Experts’ opinions were sought for determining the relationship among the factors and finally, the importance of those factors was analyzed using Social Network Analysis (SNA). It was found that social trust, investor emotion are the two most important factors affecting the other factors of disposition effect and consequently disposition effect finally. Besides, mental accounting; regret aversion, trading intensity, trading volume, and portfolio performance strongly influence the effect of disposition on investors because of their higher in-degree and out-degree. Therefore, the policymakers need to impart training to the investors to understand the mechanism of the stock market so that they can evaluate their standing in the stock market which, in the long run, will be reflected in their investment behavior.
The study intends to identify the factors that affect the risk perception of investors towards equity shares and further identifies the association between the identified factors. The study aims to conduct a thorough analysis of the factors affecting risk perception along with measurement of their influence on risk perception in respect of equity shares using Social Network Analysis (SNA). The factors influencing risk perception in equity shares have been identified through review of literature. Delphi technique was employed to determine the association between the factors and the significance of the impact of each of the factors was analysed using SNA. The study found that culture and education are most critical factors among the other factors influencing risk perception in respect of equity shares. While the factors such as capacity of investors, framing effect and loss aversion does not have much impact on the risk perception. The study will help the investors in making decision to invest in equity shares. The present study also gives avenues for the future research by providing the area where more research is needed.
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to assess the customers’ perception regarding empathy exhibited by the bancassurance channel and factors affecting it. Design/Methodology/Approach: Using random sampling, the data was collected from customers of several branches of State bank of India in Guwahati city of Assam, who have availed life insurance services from these branches. Tool of structured questionnaire was used to collect primary data. Mean, standard deviation, regression analysis was used to analyze the data and draw logical conclusions. Findings: The study shows that customer perceives bancassurance channel to have a high level of empathy towards customers. It was also found that none of the demographic variables considered in the study have any impact on influencing perception. Therefore, policymaker can adopt one fits all approach in the case of demographic aspects to improve the empathetic nature showed by the bancassurance channel. Research Limitations: The study takes into consideration the customers who have bought Life insurance service from various branches of State Bank of India, Guwahati, Assam, India. Originality: The study is first of its kind in assessing customer’s perception of empathy shown by the bancassurance channel. The study will be useful for researchers, academicians and those working in the area of bancassurance and in their understanding about factors influencing customer experience, satisfaction and retention strategy. Major Conclusion: The study finds that customers of the bancassurance channel perceive that the channel demonstrates high empathy. Therefore, policymaker can advocate for an increase in penetration of life insurance through the bancassurance channel. As there is no association between the demographic factors and customers’ perception towards empathy shown by the bancassurance channel, policymaker can adopt one fits all approach in the case of demographic aspects to improve the empathetic nature showed by the bancassurance channel.
