An experiment for standardization of techniques for continuous growth and production in jasminum sambac under different agro climatic conditions of Telangana state was conducted for two consecutive years from 2012 to 2014 at Floricultural Research Station, Hyderabad for the identification of a suitable treatment for continuous growth and production in jasmine. Ten treatments along with control were evaluated and found that, maximum average plant height (113.3 cm), plant spread (134.7 cm), number of flowers/plant (2513.3), weight of flowers/plant (224.3 g), bud width (8.9 mm) and duration of flowering (141.4 days) were recorded in T 1 treatment (Split application of RDF at alternative months) over control (T 10 -Defoliation, pruning and application of RDF once after pruning in December). Minimum number of days taken for 1st bud appearance (20.2) and days to flowering (22.5) were recorded in T 5 treatment -(Defoliation and pruning in December and pinching after new shoots emerge) over control. Maximum bud length was recorded in control.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
