Das Eisen läßt sich aus dem Blutfarbstoff bekanntlich 1 ) durch Behandlung mit einem Reduktionsmittel und Einwirkung von Säure abspalten. Beim Oxyhämoglobin genügt zur Reduktion u. a. Einleiten von Schwefelwasserstoff. Man gelangt dabei zu dem #-Hämatoporphyrin.Vor einiger Zeit hat 0. Schumm 2 ) durch Versetzen von in Salzsäure-Alkohol gelöstem Hämatin mit Hydrazinhydrat die Bildung eines Porphyringemisches beobachtet, dessen einer Bestandteil sich in den geprüften Eigenschaften wie das sogenannte "tf-Hämatoporphyrin" verhielt. -Bei der Bearbeitung des G?-Hämatoporphyrins suchten wir weitere einfache Methoden zur Enteisenung des Blutfarbstoffs und haben zwei Verfahren angewandt, mit denen es gelingt, nicht unbedeutende Mengen des verarbeiteten Hämatins in Porphyrin umzuwandeln; und zwar haben wir die Bildung verschiedener Porphyrine dabei beobachtet. Wir glauben unsere Befunde schon jetzt mitteilen zu sollen, weil sie einen Beitrag darstellen zur Frage der Stellung einiger Porphyrine zueinander und zum Hämatin. Wir betonen aber besonders, daß wir uns wohl bewußt sind, noch keine endgültigen Schlüsse ziehen zu können, da wir die zugehörigen Analysen noch nicht ausgeführt haben und behalten uns daher eine etwa nötig werdende Revision unserer Anschauungen vor. 1 ) Literatur vgl. bei 0.
