As orquídeas são vegetais pertencentes à família Orchidaceae, que por apresentarem características marcantes, como o seu formato, tamanho e diferentes colorações das flores. Atualmente nota-se uma expansão em sua comercialização principalmente do gênero Cattleya caulescens, devido o interesse desde colecionadores até população em geral. Entretanto, é necessário métodos de propagação eficientes para a propagação da espécie, em larga escala, como por exemplo o método de micropropagação (cultivo in vitro). Porém, estudos com relação ao cultivo ex vitro, e utilização de fitoestimulantes comerciais é incipiente. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar o desenvolvimento das plântulas, sob o efeito de produtos bioestimulantes, composto por 4 tratamentos e 9 blocos, sendo: (T1) – extrato de algas marinhas de Kappaphicus alvarez a 1,5% 150 mL de extrato para 850 mL de água; (T2) – Forth® 5 ml L-1; (T3) – Seacrop® a 1 ml L-1 e (T4) - cloridrato de Tiamina a 500 mg L-1. As plântulas selecionadas foram lavadas em água corrente e colocadas para secar em jornal por dois dias. Logo após colocadas em imersão por cinco minutos em cada solução nutritiva correspondente e plantadas em potes de polietileno. O Delineamento utilizado foi de Blocos Casualizados (DBC) e submetido ao teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade para comparação de médias. Sendo observado o Tratamento T3 (Seacrop®) foi o que proporcionou melhor enraizamento em comparação aos demais como também melhor resultado de altura de plantas, número de folhas e de tamanho de raízes sendo o mais indicado para aclimatização de plântulas de orquídeas.
A pitaia é considerada uma das frutas tropicas que mais vem ganhando espaço na mesa dos consumidores devido apresentar diversas vantagens para a saúde, além do seu sabor agradável. O método de propagação in vitro de pitaia, vem ganhando espaço devido as diversas vantagens desde produção massal em um pequeno espaço, como também desenvolvimento de mudas de alta qualidade. Diante do esposto este trabalho objetivou-se avaliar a influência de diferentes concentrações de BAP no enraizamneto e no comprimento das raízses, em meio MS modificado. Foram testadas cinco concentrações de BAP (0,0; 0,25; 0,50; 0,75 e 1,0 mg L-1) contendo 4 unidades experimentais (tubos contendo um explante), sendo realizado o sorteio ao acaso dos 100 tubos, divididos em 5 grades, e colocados 20 tubos com 4 repetições de cada tratamento. Após 80 dias da inoculação, foram contabilizados o número de raízes basais e aéreas e a média do comprimento das raízes. As concentrações sem adição de BAP resultaram maior resultado em todas as variáveis analisadas. Dessa forma, recomenda-se para o enraizamento in vitro de explantes de pitaia (Hylocerus undatus), meio MS modificado sem adição de BAP.
Com o interesse da população em espécies da família Orchidaceae, há uma elevada taxa de coleta predatória, podendo assim, ameaçar as espécies em seu habitat natural. Diante do exposto, este trabalho teve como objetivo mapear, identificar e caracterizar o ambiente/habitat da população de orquídeas encontradas em fragmento de Mata Atlântica com transição para o Cerrado no IFSEMG – Campus Barbacena, através do levantamento florístico por parcelas distribuídas sistematicamente na área ao longo de transectos. Foram lançados 10 transectos ao longo da trilha, no interior do fragmento, com distância de 150 m entre cada. Em cada transecto havia 3 parcelas, cada uma com 15 m2 (3x5 m) e com distância de 5 m entre si, totalizando uma área amostral de 0,045ha. Avaliou-se o número de indivíduos em cada parcela, a diversidade de gêneros e a relação entre a densidade de indivíduos e fatores ambientais, como altitude, luminosidade e distância da trilha. Pelo estudo foram encontrados 6 gêneros: Campylocentrum, Capanemia, Encyclia, Epidendrum, Oncidium e Polystachya, sendo o gênero Oncidium com maior densidade. As parcelas mais distantes da trilha apresentaram maior número de indivíduos. Com relação à luminosidade, quanto maior, maior a densidade de orquídeas na parcela. O mesmo acontecendo com o fator luminosidade. Através dos resultados conclui-se que as orquídeas dos gêneros encontrados no fragmento, registraram-se em maior número de indivíduos nos habitats de maior luminosidade e elevada altitude.
