The aim of aircraft engines development is the propulsion which is characterized by high power-to-mass ratio. Therefore, the alternative solutions that provide the required power by the low weight propulsion are sought after. The main advantage of these solutions is improvement of environmental and economic properties. This paper presents the overview of solutions and studies conducted for the unmanned aerial vehicles propulsion. For the purposes of studies a test bench was prepared. Its enables the comparison of the propulsion operating parameters taking into account changes in the values of thrust and propulsion power. The summary includes a proposal to improve the environmental indicators of propulsion systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.
A three-dimensional (3-D) inverse dynamic model of wheelchair propulsion was developed using the Newton-Euler method based on body coordinate systems. With this model, the arm was assumed to be three rigid segments (hand, forearm, and upper arm) connected by the wrist, elbow, and shoulder joints. A symbolic method was adopted to generate the equations of motion. The model was used to compute the joint forces and moments based on the inputs obtained from a 3-D motion analysis system, which included an instrumented wheelchair, video cameras, and a data acquisition system. The linear displacements of markers placed on the joints were measured and differentiated to obtain their velocities and accelerations. Three-dimensional contact forces and moments from hand to handrim were measured and used to calculate joint forces and moments of the segments.
In this paper, the geometry relationship of shoe centerless grinding for predicting the profile of workpiece is presented. Based on the model, critical parameters are studied. The model was compared with experimental results obtained from grinding trials.
The dynamic performance of shoe centreless grinding is presented in this paper. A model with a single-mass system was developed and used to evaluate the system response in the time and the frequency domains. Based on the model, stability and critical parameters of the grinding process were studied. Numerical simulations were conducted in MATLAB. The model was verified by experiments from real grinding trials.
