In patients with acute HF, GLS has greater prognostic value than LVEF. Therefore, the authors suggest that GLS should be considered as the standard measurement in all patients with HF. This new concept needs validation in further studies.
Our study demonstrated that the higher serum ALP level is an independent predictor of mortality, myocardial infarction, and stent thrombosis in CAD patients after PCI with DES.
GLS appears to be a better predictor of cardiac events all-cause death than conventional parameters. Measuring preoperative GLS is helpful to predict post-operative outcome and determine optimal timing for surgery in patients with severe primary MR.
This study suggests that IC bolus injection of nicorandil is a simple, safe, and effective way to induce steady-state hyperaemia for invasive physiological evaluations. Clinicaltrials.gov number: NCT01331902.
Despite anatomical features of concern, the clinical outcomes of TAVR in our Asian population were favorable in comparison with those of previously published trials and observational studies. (The Asian Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement Registry [Asian TAVR]; NCT02308150).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
