Palavras-chave: Infecção Hospitalar; Enfermagem; Controle de Infecções Objective: To know the perception of the multidisciplinary team about the care related to the prevention measures against ventilator-associated pneumonia. Method: This was a descriptive and qualitative study in which the multiprofessional team working in Intensive Care Unit participated. Results: Totaled 20 professionals. It was found that the multiprofessional team knows some preventive measures, however nursing refers to the physical therapist as a protagonist in this process. It was also noticed that the nurse has a fundamental role in maintaining care before the multiprofessional team. Conclusions: The study showed that the multiprofessional team demonstrates knowledge about the preventive measures related to ventilator-associated pneumonia, as well as the professionals seek to act continuously to improve the quality of care, aiming to ensure patient safety.Descriptors: Hospital Infection; Nursing; Infection Control. Objetives: to analyze the implication of the training/continuing education process of professionals of the Expanded Nucleus of Family Health and Basic Care (Portuguese acronym: Nasf-AB) for their interprofessional performance. Methods: a qualitative case study performed with Nasf-AB teams representative of four macro-regions of health of the state of Santa Catarina. Participation of 43 professionals, who answered collective interviews. The results were later submitted to thematic analysis. Results: the training is strongly influenced by the Biomedical Model, which acts as an obstacle to interprofessional performance, given the challenges in the daily routine of Nasf-AB professionals. Continuing education emerges as a potential for the successful collaborative work among teams, and between the teams and Family Health professionals. Final considerations: there are important limits in the training of professionals. However, the constant interprofessional development promoted by strategies of continuing education contributes to broaden the support and collaborative practices that qualify services and strengthen Basic Care.
CONSTRUÇÃO DE DESCRITORES PARA O PROCESSO DE EDUCAÇÃO PERMANENTE EM ATENÇÃO BÁSICA BUILDING DESCRIPTORS FOR THE PERMANENT BASIC CARE EDUCATION PROCESSRosita Saupe 1 Luiz Roberto Agea Cutolo 2 Juliana Vieira de Araújo Sandri 3Abstract Permanent education and basic care have been part of the Brazilian health system from the beginning. These public policies were recently updated, leading to an innovative knowledge construction movement to support their implementation and consolidation. This study, which used a quantitative approach, attempted to single-out the main descriptors that must guide the permanent basic care education processes. The method originated at the University of North Carolina and is carried out in two stages. The data shown in this article concern the first stage, which includes these phases: elaboration of a diagram with all components to be assessed; analysis by a group of specialists, indicating what must be preserved, removed or included; evaluation by judges, based on the 1-to-5 Likert scale; verification of the agreement among the judges. The diagram was decomposed in four dimensions, seeking to answer these questions: for whom? audiences or target population; what? content modules and learning experiences; for what? competencies to be developed; and how? approach to be prioritized. The results showed the validity of the descriptors that were proposed and evaluated, a material that may contribute to decisionmaking regarding permanent basic care education.
