RESUMOO estudo das condições climáticas da região de Petrolina se faz necessário devido sua importância no cenário agrícola nacional. O objetivo do trabalho foi caracterizar os perfis pluviométricos, classificar por meio da utilização de técnica quantílica e a realização de balanço hídrico para diferentes regimes hídricos observados. Foram utilizados da estação meteorológica convencional (OMM: 81991) localizada no município de Petrolina-PE, os dados de precipitação pluvial e temperatura média do ar condensada. Além do uso da técnica de Quantis que classifica os anos de acordo com o índice pluviométrico anual como muito seco, seco, normal, chuvoso e muito chuvoso, foi utilizado o balanço hídrico pelo método de Thornthwaite e Mather. Na caracterização pluviométrica observou-se um quantitativo anual, variando entre 107,20 e 1023,50 mm, com média de 496,83 mm, a cada dois anos é possível observar uma precipitação pluvial igual ou inferior a 462,92 mm. Ao avaliar o balanço hídrico para os distintos regimes pluviométricos obtidos, pode-se verificar que todos os regimes pluviométricos apresentaram uma deficiência que se estende por todo o ano, com exceção para anos chuvoso e muito chuvoso que apresentam reposição nos meses iniciais do ano. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar potências para o método de interpolação do Inverso da Potência da Distância (IPD) na espacialização de valores diários da precipitação no Submédio São Francisco, para os períodos de um ano, das estações do ano (inverno, primavera, verão e outono). A precipitação foi espacializada utilizando o método do IPD a partir dos dados medidos em 14 estações meteorológicas automáticas, sendo a área representando cartograficamente através um círculo de aproximadamente 250 km de raio em torno da cidade de Petrolina-PE. Os valores obtidos da potência do interpolador foram iguais a 1,6, 0,5, 1,0, 3,1 e 0,9 para a época anual, inverno, primavera, verão e outono, respectivamente. A identificação de regiões vulneráveis à desertificação é necessária para o Nordeste brasileiro, que apresenta restrição hídrica e sensibilidade as alterações climáticas. Desta forma, através do Índice de Aridez (IA) é possível identificar estas alterações e os elementos climáticos que mais influenciam para estas mudanças em diferentes localizações geográficas. O objetivo foi identificar os principais elementos climáticos responsáveis pela variação temporal e espacial do IA nos estados da Bahia e Pernambuco por meio da análise multivariada. As localidades estudadas foram Salvador, Lençóis, Bom Jesus da Lapa, Recife, Garanhuns e Cabrobó. Foram calculados os Balanços Hídrico Climatológico, para cada estação, em cada média móvel de 30 anos no período de 1961 a 2015, com o auxílio do Software para o Cálculo do Balanço Hídrico de Thornthwaite®. Foi aplicada a análise de agrupamento hierárquica aos dados de séries temporal (S), temperatura (T), precipitação (P), evapotranspiração potencial (ETP) e IA. A Bahia passou por mudanças no IA, sendo possível evidenciar que o aumento da temperatura foi o principal elemento climático responsável. Em Pernambuco também foram maiores correlações da série temporal com as temperaturas. S, T e ETP exercem forte correlação para elevação da condição de aridez em todas as localidades estudadas.

Foram realizadas interpolações para as épocas: anual, inverno, primavera, verão e outono. A variação diária do erro relativo médio obtida, para a época ano, calculado utilizando os dados de temperatura mínima, média e máxima utilizando o valor da potência do interpolador foram iguais a 3,3; 3,4; e 3,4, respectivamente. SPATIALIZATION OF AIR TEMPERATURE TO THE REGION OF SUBMEDIO SÃO FRANCISCO  2 ABSTRACT Among the meteorological variables required for the calculation of the water balance are the temperatures, which present a continuity in the quantitative distance and thus allow in a simpler way the creation of continuous fields using spatial interpolation methods. The objective of this work was to evaluate the power of the Inverse Distance Power (IPD) in the spatialization of daily values of temperature in the Submedia of São Francisco, for the one-year periods of the seasons (winter, spring, summer it's fall). The power parameters of the Inverse Distance Power Interpolator were obtained from the minimum, average and maximum temperatures from the data measured in 14 INMET automatic meteorological stations operating at the Petrolina-Juazeiro Development Pole. Interpolations were performed for annual, winter, spring, summer and fall seasons. The daily variation of the average relative error obtained for the year time, calculated using the data of minimum, average and maximum temperature using the value of the power of the interpolator were equal to 3.3; 3.4; and 3.4, respectively. A B S T R A C TThe major potential of wind power generation in the world and a possibility of electric energy production make it an alternative source to increase the diversity in the world energy matrix. The objective was to characterize a predominant velocity and direction of the wind for generation of wind power in the Submédio São ) of the São Francisco Submiddle. The highest values of wind power are highlighted for the municipalities of Dormentes, Lagoa Grande, Curaçá, Petrolina, Afrânio, Pedro Alexandre, part of the municipality of Santa Filomena, Santa Maria da Boa Vista, Chorrochó, Macururé, Paulo Afonso, and Juazeiro. The municipality of Curaçá, in the State of Bahia, show the most favorable installation of wind generators, instead of larger values and constant wind transmission. Consequently, it has the highest values of wind energy and a dominant frequency in the southeast direction of the winds throughout the day, being able to fix the towers in this geographical orientation. A large part of the Submédio São Francisco is suitable for the installation of wind energy generation centers.

R E S U M OUma das formas mais úteis e aplicadas para estudos de verificação da Tendência à Desertificação (TD) é através do cálculo do Índice de Aridez (IA). Assim, o presente trabalho se utiliza de tal metodologia para verificação da situação do IA e da TD na região semiárida do Nordeste brasileiro. O objetivo foi a investigação da variação do IA e suas classificações ao longo do período de 1961 a 2015, utilizando-se de séries temporais de 30 anos, além da TD para a região alvo do estudo. É consenso na literatura a ocorrência da redução do IA para a região semiárida do Nordeste, sendo que cada estado apresenta uma situação peculiar e possível justificativa para a ocorrência. Com os resultados foi possível observar que apesar de mudanças do IA em muitas localidades, observou-se que não ocorreu alterações na classificação a Tendência à Desertificação. Verificou-se também a necessidade de aprofundamento destes estudos utilizando de variáveis climáticas, com a utilização de mais variáveis e com o uso da modelagem numérica e de tendência no que diz respeito à avaliação da desertificação para algumas regiões que foram pouco conclusivas neste estudo. Variation of aridity index and climatic trend to desertification for the semi-arid region of the Brazilian Northeast A B S T R A C TOne of the most useful and applied forms for verification of the Desertification Trend (TD) is through the calculation of the Aridity Indices (IA). Thus, the present work uses such methodology to verify the situation of IA and TD in the semiarid region of Northeast Brazil. The objective was to investigate the variation of AI and its classifications over the period from 1961 to 2015, using a time series of 30 years, in addition to TD for the target region of the study. It is a consensus in the literature the occurrence of IA reduction for the semi-arid region of the Northeast, with each state presenting a peculiar situation and possible justification for the occurrence. With the results was possible to observe that in spite of changes of the IA in many localities, it was observed that there were no changes in the classification of the Tendency to Desertification. It was also verified the need to deepen these studies using climatic variables, with the use of more variables and with the use of numerical and trend modeling with regard to the evaluation of desertification for some regions that were not conclusive in this study.

The objective was to perform a comparative study of the meteorological elements data that most cause changes in the reference Evapotranspiration (ETo, mm) and its own value, of automatic weather stations AWS and conventional weather stations CWS of the Sertão and Agreste regions of Pernambuco State. The ETo was calculated on a daily scale using the standard method proposed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Penman-Monteith (FAO-56). The ETo information obtained from AWS data can be used to update the weather database of stations, since there is a good relationship between the ETo data obtained from CWS and AWS, statistically determined by the Willmott's concordance index (d > 0.7). The observed variations in the weather elements: air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and global solar radiation have not caused significant changes in the ETo calculation.

ABSTRACT Spatial variability analysis of meteorological elements and precise identification of possible causes of thermal stress in poultry housing help producers in the decision making process. The objective of this study was to evaluate the internal environment of poultry houses in the downtime (sanitary void) and in the production phase, to characterize spatial thermal variability and to identify critical control points. The study was carried out in the Alluvial Valley of the Mimoso River, municipality of Pesqueira, PE, Brazil. The data of air temperature, wind speed and illuminance were recorded in November (spring season), at 155 points within each poultry facility (10 x 90 m), spaced in a 3.0 x 2.5 m grid and subjected to descriptive statistical analysis and geostatistics. There was a strong spatial dependence for the variables air temperature, wind speed and illuminance. The ranges obtained for the air temperature in the facilities were from 48.22 to 114.52 m, while for the wind speed and illuminance were less than 10 m, thus revealing the need for greater homogeneity of the studied variables and meeting of the thermal requirement of the poultry.
