Circular Economy (CE) is a practical solution pointed out as to the growing crisis of resources on the planet, which proposes a range of activities based on the concept of improving productivity, reducing waste, reusing resources and extending the useful life of products. To this end, it is necessary to improve initiatives in companies and society with the creation of environmental, economic and social value. In this context, this work aims to identify practices aligned with the concepts of circular economy by companies in the Brazilian market, in order to understand what the benefits and motivators are, as well as identify the barriers and those involved in implementation. The study of multiple cases developed in five organizations of different sectors and sizes was the target of the methodological approach. This work contributes to the literature in the identification of the implementation phase of the circular economy that companies are Brazilian. The main results found point out that the most common practice of implementing CE concepts are correlated with the principles of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle). The image of the company for the consumer and society is the main motivation for implementing the circular practices observed in this study. One of the results obtained in the research is the observation that the main barrier to implementation is the lack of awareness about the concepts and importance of circular practices. This result demonstrates the reason why Brazil is in an embryonic phase of implementing circular economy, compared to the countries that belong to the OECD-The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development existing in the literature.
