Em janeiro de 2020, a Organização Mundial de Saúde alegou Emergência de Saúde Pública e em 11 de março, uma pandemia. A COVID-19 é causada pelo SARS-CoV-2 e possui clínica caracterizada com sintomas respiratórios agudos associados ou não há sintomas sistêmicos. As manifestações cutâneas da doença são menos relatadas e sua influência na evolução e diagnóstico têm sido pouco descritas. A asma é uma condição heterogênea e as exacerbações da doença acontecem devido a infecções virais. A dermatite atópica é uma doença que vem afetando cada vez mais a população e com a mudança na rotina comportamental das pessoas relacionada ao isolamento social causado pela pandemia, houve gatilhos para o agravamento. O presente estudo busca avaliar dados da literatura sobre o potencial efeito da infecção por SARS-CoV-2 na dermatite atópica e asma, em pacientes asmáticos, atópicos e hígidos. Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática de literatura realizada através da plataforma PUBMED entre os meses de maio e julho de 2022, com descritores “asthma”, “atopic dermatitis”, “symptom flare up” e “COVID-19”, tendo sido selecionados 11 artigos. Houve redução de exacerbações asmáticas por diminuição de gatilhos ambientais, pelo distanciamento social e por maior adesão ao tratamento da doença. Por outro lado, houve aumento das exacerbações da dermatite atópica evidenciando associação entre alguns estressores e piora do curso da doença. Asmáticos não apresentam aumento das exacerbações quando infectados por SARS-CoV-2. Enquanto que pacientes com dermatite atópica manifestam maior exacerbação.
