ResumoO processo de internação em uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal é uma situação bastante delicada e frágil tanto para a família quanto para o recém-nascido, surgindo sentimentos indesejáveis e angustiantes. O estudo trata de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo integrativa, realizado no período de 2003 a 2013, que tem por objetivo identificar como acontece a relação da equipe de enfermagem com a família de crianças hospitalizadas na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal. Os dados foram analisados em três categorias: a família vivenciando o processo de internação; a interação entre equipe de enfermagem e família; a família inserida no cuidado ao recém-nascido hospitalizado. Os resultados apontam a importância da equipe de enfermagem em aproximar a família na participação do cuidado ao neonato através do acolhimento, sendo um dos principais métodos em iniciar uma assistência humanizada. Assim, é necessário o estabelecimento de uma comunicação efetiva entre a equipe de enfermagem e a família, preservando a singularidade de cada criança. O estudo evidenciou que a participação da família no cuidado humanizado ao recém-nascido é ainda um tema que precisa receber uma atenção maior. A dor pode ser descrita como uma experiência sensorial e emocional desagradável associada a uma lesão real ou potencial para os tecidos do corpo. A existência de escalas para a avaliação da dor somadas às intervenções não-farmacológicas, auxiliam na prevenção e no controle álgico.O presente estudo objetivou identificar a relação da amamentação como alívio da dor, comparando com outros métodos não-farmacológicos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo integrativa, com base em publicações no período de 2004 a 2014, disponíveis na base de dados LILACS e CINAHL, em língua portuguesa, espanhola ou inglesa, a partir dos descritores “dor”, “amamentação” e “recém-nascido”. A amostra final foi construída por 14 artigos que geraram duas categorias, sendo essas: “A dor em criança” e “O aleitamento materno como medida não farmacológica para o alívio da dor”. Dentre os métodos não farmacológicos utilizados nas pesquisas, a amamentação foi a mais aplicada por ser o foco do estudo, no entanto, não é a opção mais empregada pelos profissionais na prática. As outras medidas que obtiveram uma maior implementação nas unidades de saúde foram a utilização da sacarose, a sucção não-nutritiva e o contato pele a pele, respectivamente. Diversos estudos trazem medidas não farmacológicas para o controle da dor, sendo a amamentação a que obteve uma superioridade significativa quando comparada a outros métodos. Entretanto, poucos profissionais estão capacitados para identificação da dor, bem como para a realização de intervenções de alívio.
Objetivo: Avaliar a qualidade da Terapia Nutricional Enteral em unidades de terapia intensiva pediátrica, através da aplicação de indicadores de qualidade. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo de corte transversal prospectivo, composto por amostra de conveniência com pacientes de ambos os sexos, com idade de 0 até 18 anos incompletos, internados em unidades de terapia intensiva pediátrica e em uso exclusivo de terapia nutricional enteral. Foram aplicados três indicadores de qualidade e realizada a avaliação descritiva dos dados. Resultados: Participaram do estudo 20 pacientes, observou-se que 25% apresentaram pelo menos um episódio de diarreia, 45% estiveram em jejum digestório por mais de 24horas e não houve nenhum registro de obstrução de sonda. Conclusões: Dos resultados encontrados, apenas o indicador obstrução de sonda está dentro da meta proposta. Esse resultado corrobora com outros estudos realizados com adultos, porém são necessários estudos na área pediátrica para confrontar com os dados encontrados.
