INTRODUÇÃO: A pandemia de covid-19 tornou necessário estudos sobre o impacto da pandemia e das novas rotinas de trabalho impostas ao trabalhador no estado de saúde de profissionais de saúde, em especial os fisioterapeutas hospitalares. OBJETIVO: Avaliar a qualidade de sono e sonolência diurna de profissionais de fisioterapia hospitalar durante o período de pandemia do covid-19. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: Pesquisa observacional, transversal, prospectiva em um hospital público do nordeste brasileiro. A pesquisa teve como público-alvo fisioterapeutas hospitalares atuantes ou não em setores covid durante a pandemia de covid-19. Foram aplicados os instrumentos Índice de Qualidade do Sono de Pittsburgh (IQSP), Escala de Sonolência de Epworth (ESE) e questionários com características demográficas, trabalho, saúde e percepção de estresse. RESULTADOS: Participaram do estudo 45 fisioterapeutas e foi observado que 62,2% eram do sexo feminino, 66,7% relataram trabalhar 60h por semana e 55,6% trabalharam em setor covid e não covid. Observou-se elevada frequência de má qualidade do sono (68,9%) independente de carga horária ou setor de trabalho. Houve maior prevalência de sonolência diurna excessiva (43,3%) entre os fisioterapeutas que trabalhavam 60h por semana. CONCLUSÃO: Os fisioterapeutas hospitalares de uma instituição pública têm má qualidade do sono e aqueles que trabalham com maior carga horária apresentam maior prevalência de sonolência diurna excessiva.

Almeja-se que a leitura deste e-book possa incentivar o desenvolvimento de estratégias voltadas a levantamentos epidemiológicos, prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento de doenças. A Saúde Pública é o conjunto de medidas executadas pelo Estado para garantir o bemestar físico, mental e social da população. Em nível internacional, a saúde pública é coordenada pela Organização Mundial de Saúde -OMS, composta atualmente por 194 países. O órgão consiste em uma agência especializada da ONU (Organização das Nações Unidas) que trabalha lado a lado com o governo dos países para aprimorar a prevenção e o tratamento de doenças, além de melhorar a qualidade do ar, da água e da comida.A saúde pública no Brasil passou a ser vista como um dever do estado e como um direito social de todo cidadão. Para isso, a Constituição delegou aos Estados, à União e às prefeituras a função de cuidar da saúde pública para garantir que todos tenham acesso a diagnósticos e tratamentos e a qualidade de vida. Na prática, isso funciona dentro de um único sistema, em que cada esfera do governo possui um órgão para administrar os serviços de saúde de cada local. É o caso das Secretarias de Saúde municipais, por exemplo, que além de gerir, ainda traçam estratégias de vacinação e executam as ações necessárias para que os postos de saúde e hospitais consigam atender à demanda da população local.Vale ressaltar que o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) é um dos maiores e mais complexos sistemas de saúde pública do mundo, abrangendo desde o simples atendimento para avaliação da pressão arterial, por meio da Atenção Primária, até o transplante de órgãos, garantindo acesso integral, universal e gratuito para toda a população do país. Com a sua criação, o SUS proporcionou o acesso universal ao sistema público de saúde, sem discriminação. A atenção integral à saúde, e não somente aos cuidados assistenciais, passou a ser um direito de todos os brasileiros, desde a gestação e por toda a vida, com foco na saúde com qualidade de vida, visando a prevenção e a promoção da saúde.
OBJETIVO: Avaliar a funcionalidade e dor de pacientes atendidos pela fisioterapia em um hospital público. MÉTODO: Estudo quantitativo, longitudinal e prospectivo, do tipo antes e depois, não envolvendo intervenção. Realizado em um hospital universitário, de maio a setembro de 2021. Foram incluídos no estudo adultos, da clínica médica e cirúrgica, em acompanhamento pela fisioterapia. Foi utilizado um questionário sociodemográfico, Escala Intensive Care Unit Mobility Scale (IMS) e Escala Numérica de Dor (NRS). A avaliação foi feita em até 72h após admissão em enfermaria e na alta fisioterapêutica ou hospitalar. RESULTADOS: A amostra final foi de 20 pacientes, com média de idade de 59,2 ± 16,9 anos, 12 (60%) mulheres e 18 (90%) possuíam comorbidades. Na avaliação inicial a média na NRS foi de 1,9 ± 1,8 e IMS de 5,1 ± 3,0. Na avaliação final a média na NRS foi de 0,9 ± 1 e IMS de 7,5 ± 3,2. Houve menção de metas motoras em 19 (95%) das evoluções das avaliações iniciais e 18 (90%) nas avaliações finais. Foi registrado a execução de metas motoras em 15 (75%) das evoluções iniciais e 17 (85%) das evoluções finais. CONCLUSÃO: Os pacientes acompanhados pela fisioterapia apresentaram melhora dos níveis de dor e funcionalidade. O uso da escala IMS serviu como norteador para o tratamento proposto pelos fisioterapeutas.
