La emergencia de la nueva vitivinicultura de exportación en el Valle de Uco a comienzos del presente siglo propició la aparición de un número de estudios que problematizaron la producción de espacio desde la categoría paisaje. No obstante, resulta imprescindible integrar a este análisis la trastienda del trabajo que hace posible tales paisajes, y el impacto sobre la vida cotidiana y las percepciones de los trabajadores. Para ello recurrimos a una aproximación desde la geografía del trabajo, la sociología del trabajo y la sociología rural. Desde un abordaje cualitativo, indagamos en las tensiones entre capital y trabajo subyacentes en el proceso de producción del paisaje. Como resultado destacamos las transformaciones materiales y espaciales en las formas de organización del trabajo que ha supuesto la nueva vitivinicultura y su impacto en la vida cotidiana de los trabajadores que la sustentan.
En este artículo presentamos el Archivo Histórico del Agua (AHA) del Departamento General de Irrigación perteneciente a la Provincia de Mendoza. Para esto realizamos un recorrido por la historia de las instituciones productoras de los archivos, caracterizamos los principales fondos hallados y delineamos los desafíos y oportunidades que implica el des-cubrimiento de fuentes históricas poco visibles o no analizadas hasta el momento.
En este trabajo se analizaron las principales herramientas de política pública que se han utilizado en la provincia de San Juan en el oeste argentino para difundir, regular u obstaculizar la producción vitivinícola y olivícola, desde la etapa colonial. A partir de un abordaje que combinó la teoría de los Regímenes Agroalimentarios Internacionales, la llamada Escuela Francesa de la Regulación y los aportes de los estudios regionales, se buscó problematizar las visiones simplistas del desarrollo provincial con que se ha tendido a interpretar el devenir histórico de la provincia, desentrañando el carácter complejo y variable que asumió la configuración de dichos modelos hasta la década del 80´ del siglo pasado. Además, el trabajo permitió sistematizar información de diferentes fuentes documentales para ponerlas en diálogo desde un nuevo enfoque global-local, hasta ahora una cuestión vacante en los estudios sobre el tema. Como resultado, se propone una periodización de diferentes modelos de desarrollo a lo largo de la historia productiva de la provincia de San Juan.
En el presente trabajo nos proponemos describir los saberes agroculturales que aplican los horticultores campesinos de los oasis norte y centro de Mendoza y analizar procesos de ruptura agroecológica. Se utilizaron técnicas cualitativas para dar cuenta de los sentidos que los horticultores dan a su trabajo y al entorno que sienten, perciben y modifican. Los saberes dominantes se imponen a través de una aparente falta de alternativas, mientras que las rupturas agroecológicas plantean una alternativa a través de una síntesis de saberes concretos y abstractos. La organización y la acción colectiva promueven y consolidan la agroecología que favorece el despliegue de una base de recursos que sinergiza el trabajo humano y la tierra viva.
