El presente trabajo analiza la herencia de propiedades en el contexto de las redes semánticas como formalismo representacional del razonamiento no-monótono. En particular, se discuten las diferentes variaciones de la noción de herencia: (a) herencia simple con enlaces positivos, (b) herencia simple con enlaces positivos y negativos y (c) herencia múltiple con enlaces positivos y negativos. Asimismo, se aborda la herencia de propiedades desde una perspectiva epistemológica, y se evalúan las estrategias para utilizar este mecanismo como una forma de deducción en las redes semánticas no-monotónicas. Finalmente, se propone la tesis según la cual la dilucidación de los fundamentos de la noción de herencia de propiedades es clave para abordar problemas más complejos dentro del razonamiento no-monotóno.
Este trabajo presenta una introducción a los esquemas del tipo Modified Patankar Runge-Kutta (MPRK), los esquemas numéricos MPRK resuelven sistemas de Producción Destrucción positivos y conservativos. Se presenta las principales propiedades de los esquemas MPRK y en particular se detalla el esquema de segundo orden de dos etapas denominado MPRK22, para luego introducir una modificación del esquema MPRK22 y presentar un nuevo esquema de segundo orden haciendo una combinación convexa de los pesos Patankar Weight Denominators (PWD). Los resultados son confirmados por experimentos numéricos considerando un sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales no lineal.
