SUMMARY
1. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) has been obtained from the urine of pregnant women.
2. It was prepared by adsorption on kaolin from urine which had been treated with benzoic acid to remove excess human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) and was assayed by the procedure which depends on the increase in ovarian weight of immature mice treated simultaneously with HCG.
3. Preliminary results are given for the assay of FSH in normal pregnancy.
