Nurse turnover has become a continuous and increasing challenging problem in the healthcare system worldwide; and this became a priority that needs to be adequately managed. As a matter of fact, nurses are care givers and represent the frontline services that hospitals deliver to their patients, so it is an indispensable necessity to retain this workforce through both job satisfaction and job motivation. Providing the nurse workforce an appropriate treatment will surely lead to retention of talent that is critical to the continuity of the healthcare organizations. This research aims to assess the impact of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices mainly in relation to job satisfaction on nurses’ turnover intention, especially that Lebanon is one of the countries where the healthcare system is suffering from nurses’ shortage. This study uses a descriptive correlational study based on a structured questionnaire administered to 100 nurses within North Lebanon Hospitals. The collected data statistical analysis is carried out via the Statistical Product and Service Solutions SPSS-version 25. Results revealed that the absence of efficient HR practices forces nurses toward turnover decision. Thus, the creation of supported and motivated environment will positively affect the nurses’ decision to stay, and thus minimize the turnover rate.
This paper aims to assess the healthcare leadership’s role in crisis management, examine, and investigate the influencing factors. A quantitative analysis approach with a positivism philosophy is adopted. Primary data are collected using a structured questionnaire distributed to a sample of hospital employees in Lebanon. Data analysis used IBM SPSS version 25; whereby descriptive statistics (i.e., frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations) and inferential statistics (i.e., factor analysis, multivariable linear regression) were obtained. Results revealed that leaders’ traits and skills like proactivity and communication, gender, hospital location, organization’s culture, and stakeholders’ engagement influence the effectiveness of leaders’ decision-making in a crisis management context. Also, the results confirmed the alternative hypotheses that the explanatory factors have a direct and statistically significant relationship with leaders’ decision-making effectiveness. Outcomes of this research serve as an eye opener to policymakers, health care managers, and stakeholders that a fully integrated effort is a must to mitigate serious crisis consequences.
Forensic accounting is one of the modern domains of accounting that incorporates special knowledge and a group of skills that are utilized to fight financial corruption and creative accounting, support legal action against such practices and tackle the resulting consequences. The research at hand investigates fundamental perceptions of forensic accounting and discusses methods that forensic accounting uses to detect and curb creative accounting. It also emphasizes the concept of creative accounting, discusses its types and outcomes, and illustrates the techniques of forensic accounting that are used to fight it. A well-structured, five-point Likert style questionnaire was constructed and distributed among a sample of 350 CPAs from the total population of Certified Public Accountants in Mount Lebanon and Beirut Governorates. The researchers used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) to make various statistical tests to analyze the outputs. The research yielded some important findings, mainly that both the integrated and the dimensional audit approaches, which are two forensic accounting methods, lead to curbing creative accounting practices. As a result, the researchers had some recommendations.
This study focuses on the stress problems related to role conflict and ambiguity. It will emphasize the creation of a work-life balance strategy as a solution to decrease this stress. The work-life balance is a desirable concept for education institutes because relaxed employees are more motivated and productive. This study will aim to study the impact of stress on Al Jinan staff’ through a questionnaire with 120 employees. This study embraces four independent variables related to stress factors and work-life balance as the dependent variable. This study has verified the positive impact of the working environment and suggested adequate recommendations.
In the last decade, information technology tools have witnessed enormous development. Nowadays, they are used in all daily human tasks. Organizations and companies have recently started using information technology tools in all sectors. For example, the decision-making process is an essential task in all organizations. By using information technology components, companies can create a decision-making system that produces more accurate results with less time, effort, and cost. In this paper, the authors describe the role of information technology tools in the decision-making process. The impact of using information technology in the decision-making process was studied at a telecommunications company in Iraq. The authors use a descriptive-analytical method to describe this impact. They adopt a questionnaire to collect information and answer it. The analysis of the answers is done using SPSS. The findings indicate a link between using information technology tools and making sound decisions.
