A docência na educação superior emerge como área de atuação secretarial e evidencia desafios relacionados ao domínio de conhecimentos pedagógicos. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as percepções de discentes de Secretariado Executivo sobre as práticas de ensino de docentes-secretários executivos. Realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva com a participação de 46 estudantes do curso de Secretariado Executivo de uma Universidade Federal do Nordeste. A coleta de dados foi realizada em dois momentos. O primeiro momento utilizou a aplicação de questionário. Na segunda fase, recorreu-se à técnica de entrevista. A interpretação dos dados foi feita por meio da análise de conteúdo. Os resultados denotaram que a didática de ensino aplicada pelos professores secretários executivos visa estratégias participativas e inclusivas, bem como uma fusão entre o mundo real e as leituras, ao englobar experiências reais. Os docentes-secretários possuem um vínculo com o Curso e a profissão, o que contribui para a construção de conhecimentos específicos e para a relação professor-aluno. Porém, a didática aplicada por secretários executivos que se tornam docentes é marcada por diversos desafios oriundos da ausência de uma formação pedagógica. Na perspectiva dos discentes, ainda existem desafios a serem superados em relação às estratégias, a fim de que promovam um ensino que atenda às necessidades dos educandos.
