Este trabalho objetivou efetuar um levantamento e classificação sobre os usos e cobertura do solo no território da comunidade pesqueira do povoado São Pedro em Jaramataia, Alagoas, utilizando como suporte o geoprocessamento. Para isso utilizou-se a imagem LANDSAT 8, cena 215/067, que foi processada através de algoritmos não supervisionados e supervisionados usando o software Envi 5.3. Para a classificação não supervisionada a interpolação gerou 7 classes que apresentou vários conflitos de dados. Para a supervisionada foi identificada e caracterizada oito classes: savanas estépicas arborizadas, savanas estépicas secundárias, estepe estacional arborizada, lavoura temporária ou pastagem, lavoura permanente, solo exposto, área urbana e corpos d’água com destaque para a pesca artesanal. Com isso, observou-se que a área possui elevado grau de antropização e a mancha relevante de vegetação nativa se concentra nas cotas altimétricas mais acentuadas do relevo de difícil acesso. Esse estudo abre possibilidade para a gestão do território a partir da apropriação de informações das áreas de uso e cobertura e geração de políticas públicas que promovam o desenvolvimento local com base em ações sustentáveis.
RESUMO: A geração de estudos de análise integrada da paisagem pela abordagem geossistêmica nos domínios morfoclimáticos do Brasil aumentou nos últimos anos. Porém, algumas áreas possuem poucos dados e, consequentemente, incipientes pesquisas que contribuam para o gerenciamento de recursos naturais e ações de sustentabilidade. Este trabalho objetivou delimitar os geossistemas da área do entorno do Açude de Jaramataia com base no mapeamento de uso e cobertura do solo realizado por Farias et al. (2018). Por meio do cruzamento de variáveis, com destaque para a compartimentação geomorfológica, os usos e as coberturas do solo, foi possível identificar 8 geossistemas. Através da vetorização do recorte da cena 215/067 LANDSAT 8 e da classificação supervisionada, foi possível encontrar as homogeneidades de unidades de paisagem na área de recorte. Para validar os resultados, foram realizadas etapas de coleta de campo e correlação com os produtos cartográficos utilizados por Farias et al. (2018). Com efeito, a delimitação dessas 8 unidades presentes nos municípios de Batalha, Craíbas, Girau do Ponciano, Jaramataia, Major Isidoro e Traipu pode contribuir para a gestão pública e gerar ações mitigadoras para proteção de áreas estratégicas e recuperação de unidades muito degradadas. RESUMO: Este artigo tem como proposta discutir a importância do uso de metodologias participativas em pesquisas relacionadas a comunidades tradicionais. O Brasil possui inúmeras expressões culturais, e, por isso mesmo, comunidades indígenas, quilombolas, camponesas, pesqueiras, entre outras, mantêm relações socioespaciais singulares em seus territórios. A ciência tradicional hegemônica invisibilizou, por muito tempo, questões de pesquisa por meio de metodologias frias e escritas parciais que não alcançavam o território identitário dessas comunidades. Parte-se aqui da experiência de pesquisas realizadas na Colônia Z-29, no Povoado São Pedro, em Jaramataia, Alagoas, para compreender como saberes e fazeres ancestralizados são acionados para classificar, por meio de chaves de identificação, diferentes tipos de solos e seus usos. A partir da participação observante, foram realizadas rodas de conversa que foram potencializadas com o uso da técnica da mística, buscando conhecer as cosmologias pesqueiras com relação aos solos registradas em diário de campo do método geoetnográfico. Destaca-se que a abordagem etnopedológica não serviu apenas para classificar os solos partindo dos saberes tradicionais, mas refletiu a identidade, a coletividade e a ancestralidade de um povo que precisa de uma outra escrita acadêmica tão potente quanto suas oralidades.
