In order to meet the goal outlined in the 2010-11 academic year, which is to make students aware of the web 2.0 importance in the SMEs management. The last is achieved successfully in a group activity by means of the constructivist learning approach, which has converted existing SMEs in SME 2.0, in social media by forums, blogs, wikis, micro-blogging, social networking, social bookmarking, and, social and community multimedia content.
La era de la socialización de la información ha llegado para quedarse de manera definitiva. El universo digital sigue en expansión, no sólo con un número creciente de portales, sino también, con numerosas fuentes de datos, redes sociales y conversaciones que están impulsando esta nueva era. Todo ello pone de manifiesto un gran desafío para las Pymes que deben estar a la vanguardia en tendencias y con incrementos en sus ventas. En el presente estudio analizaremos, con detalle, los efectos que los medios sociales comportan para tales organizaciones empresariales.
This paper presents the results of a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the performance of midsize and large Portuguese enterprises on the internet. Special attention is given to the ecommerce oriented to the end-user. An assessment tool was specially developed for this evaluation. This assessment tool is based on legal regulations, codes of conduct and/or seals of quality, as well as a variety of other information sources related with the Internet, web sites and e-commerce. The company's web sites, were selected for this assessment through a random sampling technique, and were evaluated on 119 items.
In this article, the authors illustrate, through the description of the functions of the simulator SITMECOM 1.0 PC, a design philosophy for business simulators. They pursue three basic objectives: to promote the system dynamics approach for business management, to facilitate self-learning, and to provide a user-friendly interface that helps in attaining these goals. In the authors’ opinion, this transparent-box simulator offers clear advantages over traditional business games.
