O fertilizante orgânico utilizado na produção de vegetais, aumenta a fertilidade, a biodiversidade do solo e a produção das culturas, sendo um excelente insumo para utilização na agricultura, contribuindo para a sustentabilidade e conservação do solo e da água. O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi avaliar o desenvolvimento da Lactuca sativa com adubação de cama de curral e cama de frango, durante 55 dias. Após a colheita as plantas foram levadas para laboratório, onde foi avaliado o comprimento da raiz, comprimento do caule, número de folha, diâmetro do caule, diâmetro da planta, massa seca da raiz e folhas e massa fresca da raiz e folhas. A pesquisa foi utilizada no sistema de delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados, com 7 tratamentos, sendo dois tipos de compostos orgânicos: (T1- terra vegetal; T2 – terra vegetal + 50 gr/planta de cama de frango; T3 – terra vegetal + 100 gr/planta de cama de frango; T4 – terra vegetal + 150 gr/planta de cama de frango; T5 – terra vegetal + 50 gr/planta de cama de curral; T6 – terra vegetal + 100 gr/planta de cama de frango; T7 – terra vegetal + 150 gr/planta de cama de frango). Os tratamentos com doses de 150 gr/planta apresentaram melhores resultados em relação a testemunha, em contrapartida aplicações alta de cama de frango apresentaram baixo desenvolvimento radicular, mas houve o desenvolvimento da região foliar. A aplicação de cama de curral pode ser uma alternativa viável para os agricultores utilizarem na produção de hortaliças.
