O objetivo deste artigo é analisar de modo crítico os Projetos Políticos Pedagógicos (PPP) dos cursos de Licenciatura em Matemática do Estado de São Paulo ao que se refere o número de disciplinas relacionadas à aplicação das Leis 10639/03 e 11645/08 como também a presença de disciplinas com estudos voltados para os temas Etnomatemática, Decolonialidade, Cultura e Diversidade. Convém, por oportuno, salientar que tanto o racismo quanto os PPP são processos políticos e, sendo assim, a formação do/da docente carece do desaprendizado de condutas excludentes. A guisa de exemplo, foi utilizado como trajetória metodológica a abordagem de pesquisa documental de natureza qualitativa. Em síntese, apesar de 17 dos 23 PPP indicarem uma relação de disciplinas nas quais são abordadas temáticas referentes à legislação e temas mencionados, é recorrente uma única disciplina por curso para discutir sobre as temáticas. É imperioso destacar a necessidade de inclusão nas ementas e grades curriculares a fim de colaborar na formação de educadores, efetivamente, de modo a corroborar com a redução do racismo, preconceitos e práticas discriminatórias.
Embora as leis 10.639/03 e 11.645/08, as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais da Educação Básica apresentem esforços para combater o racismo na escola, a população negra ainda sofre com suas representações em livros didáticos, em especial, de Matemática. Este artigo apresenta uma análise crítica das representações dessa população em 10 livros didáticos de Matemática, oferecidos no Plano Nacional do Livro didático às escolas públicas de São Paulo a serem trabalhados no Ensino Fundamental II e Ensino Médio, de 2017 a 2019. Os livros apresentaram imagens negativas ao discorrer sopre a população negra, além de não destacar em textos ou imagens as suas contribuições à Matemática. Desse modo, vislumbra-se a importância da reflexão acerca do tema, no âmbito social e educacional, para ocasionarações as quais fortaleçam o combate ao racismo e o preconceito, especialmente, nas escolas.
