El título de esta presentación supone dos cuestiones fundamentales: que hay una enseñanza teológica y que hay una pedagogía de la enseñanza teológica.
En los últimos años Chile ha vivido procesos sociales y políticos de gran importancia. Entre ellos destaca el estallido social del año 2019 y el plebiscito del año 2020 en el que el 78% de los votantes expresó su acuerdo a la redacción de una nueva constitución, y a que esta fuera elaborada por una Convención Constituyente elegida especialmente para estos efectos. En los próximos años, el futuro de Chile estará en gran parte condicionado por este proceso constituyente y por la nueva Constitución que resulte de él. Entre las tantas cuestiones que serán objeto de diálogo y deliberación está la pregunta por el lugar de la religión en la nueva constitución. Al respecto, este artículo propone una reflexión de una cuestión antecedente a las definiciones jurídico-constitucionales; a saber, una reflexión sobre la cuestión del sentido religioso de la vida. Sin esta reflexión, la deliberación se podría circunscribir a la incorporación, o no, de determinados derechos, como la libertad religiosa, de culto y de educación, entre otros, sin atender antes a las razones por las cuales dicha discusión es importante en el proceso constituyente. Después de una introducción, el artículo propone pensar la religión en cinco niveles distintos: la religión en su dimensión existencial; la religión en su dimensión antropológica; la religión como dimensión trascendental; la religión en su dimensión política; y, finalmente, una consideración de la religión en su dimensión estratégica. Para concluir, el artículo deriva algunas consecuencias de la atención a estas cinco dimensiones del sentido religioso de la vida.
La hermenéutica y su impacto en la teología A partir del siglo XVII la hermenéutica se comienza a comprender como la ciencia o el arte de la interpretación. Hasta entonces ella estaba conformada por una serie de instrucciones metodológicas específicas, principalmente orientadas a la interpretación de textos bíblicos y de la antigüedad clásica. Estas instrucciones comienzan a ordenarse en un todo más sistemático que, en cuanto ciencia, pretende ser normativo de la interpretación que se realiza al interior de tres campos del saber en los que este se expresa, principalmente, a través de textos y tradiciones: la filosofía, la teología y el derecho. Se produce con ello una ampliación del concepto de hermenéutica, que no se detendría.En efecto, a fines del siglo XIX Dilthey ya plantea la posibilidad de una hermenéutica universal, cuya función fuera elaborar las reglas generales de la interpretación, que estuvieran a la base ya no solo de la interpretación de textos filosóficos, teológi-cos o jurídicos, sino que estuvieran a la base de todas las ciencias del espíritu, por cuanto -según él-estas se apoyan siempre en un conocimiento interpretativo.Pero será en el siglo recién pasado donde este proceso de universalización de la hermenéutica llegará a su expresión más definitiva. M. Heidegger sacará la hermenéutica del solo campo de las ciencias del espíritu, para extender su significación también respecto de cuestiones tales como la experiencia del sentido, del fundamento de la existencia o de la cuestión de la verdad. Será esta "hermenéutica de la facticidad" la que inspirará a Hans-Georg Gadamer a extender aún más los alcances de la hermenéutica, hasta reconocerla como un "diálogo interior" en el que se reconoce la propia vitalidad y densidad del lenguaje, en el que hacemos la experiencia de depender unos de otros al hablar, en el que constatamos que en ningún signo disponible nos es posible contener el ser de cuanto es. De este modo, la hermenéuti-ca ha alcanzado para algunos el estatuto de una prima philosophia, por cuanto ella ha postulado la omnipresencia del fenómeno interpretativo, el carácter fundamentalmente interpretativo de nuestra experiencia del mundo.Y si ello es así, entonces las preguntas que la hermenéutica hace a la teología ya dejan de circunscribirse, en el campo de la exégesis, a las técnicas de interpretación de textos bíblicos. La hermenéutica no solo ofrecerá hoy al exégeta una más efectiva techné para descifrar códigos lingüísticos, además, en su mismo trabajo interpretativo, lo confrontará con la pregunta por la relación entre razón y fe, por la relación entre historia y comprensión teológica, por la relación entre las tradiciones míticas del mundo bíblico y las tradiciones filosóficas que fundan la moderna exégesis bíblica. IntroducciónLa cuestión de la historia ocupó un lugar central en el pensamiento de B. Welte. En cada una de las cuatro décadas durante las cuales desarrolló su actividad intelectual dedicó al menos un texto importante a pensar la historia. El primero de estos textos -que permaneció inédito hasta hace pocos años-lo escribió cuando iniciaba su carrera académica, en Freiburg, con ocasión de sus lecciones del semestre de invierno de 1949-1950 1 . Ya en este texto expresa el interés fi losófi co que guiará todo su pensamiento respecto de la historia: proponer una «ontología de la historia», que contribuya a reconocer la esencia de aquello que llamamos historia, que permita escudriñar el ser mismo del tiempo, y que nos acerque a una comprensión más sustantiva del cristianismo 2 . Al poco tiempo de haber dictado estas lecciones, con ocasión de una conferencia ofrecida a profesores de fi losofía y teología en París, publicó el año 1952, en la revista Saeculum, un artículo cuya temática estaría directamente asociada a la anterior y que seguiría pensando durante toda su vida: aquella de la relación entre verdad e historicidad 3 .
