Palavras-chave: Adjuntos temporais; Eventos; Acionalidade; Aspecto verbal; Semântica formal Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the role of temporal adjunct 'durante X time' ('X time' is a measure for any time) in making actional, temporal and aspectual distinctions in the timeaspectual domain. We base our analysis upon Basso's (2007;2011) previous work on the adjuncts 'em X time' ("in X time") and 'por X time' ("for X time"). We show that 'durante X time' has great similarities to 'por X time' -both adjuncts measure the duration of a given event up to the end of their measure phrases, which we call "focalization point", and are responsible for "detelicizing" perfective telic events. 'durante X time' also has interesting specializations still little explored in the literature concerning different types of measure phrases.
