Correct diagnosis of caecal bascule requires a high index of suspicion and avoids delay of appropriate management. Recent operation, particularly laparoscopic cholecystectomy, may be contributing factors. Resection is recommended, a sentiment echoed by reported cases in the literature.
Electrodes F 3000 Nanostructured SnSb/Carbon Nanotube Composites Synthesized by Reductive Precipitation for Lithium-IonBatteries. -Multi-walled carbon nanotube-SnSb nanocomposite powders are synthesized by addition of an aqueous solution of NaOH and NaBH4 to an aqueous solution of SnCl2, SbCl3, multi-walled carbon nanotubes, and sodium citrate (ultrasonication, <5°C). The samples are characterized by XRD, FESEM, XPS, TEM, and Raman spectroscopy. The nanocomposites show a high reversible capacity of 480 mAh/g and stable cyclic retention until the 50th cycle. Careful attention to the design and fabrication of these nanocomposites may lead to their full potential being exploited in commercial lithium ion batteries. -(PARK, M.-S.; NEEDHAM, S. Nocapyrone H (Ia) reduces the pro‐inflammatory factor and shows stronger inhibitory effect on NO production than chrysin in lipopolysaccharide‐stimulated BV‐2 microglial cells.
Diospentenols A (I) and B (II), Two New Cyclopentapyrans Isolated from Abandoned Mine Bacterium Streptomyces sp. KMA-001. -Both compounds (I) and (II) are obtained as racemic mixtures and their absolute configurations are not determined. -(PARK, J.-S.; CHA, J. W.; KIM, S.-H.; OH, D.-C.; KWON*, H. C.; Heterocycles 87 (2013) 12, 2501-2512, http://dx.
Compounds (I) and (II) are evaluated for their inhibition activity towards LPS‐induced NO‐production by BV‐2 microglia cells, with (I) inhibiting NO production without cellular toxicity and (II) being inactive.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
