All study cases were grouped according to whether they had a history of hypertension. Then, a subgroup analysis for all hypertensive patients was carried out based on whether to take ACEI or ARB drugs. The mean age of 110 patients was 57.7 years (range, 25-86 years), of which 60 (54.5%) were male patients. The main underlying diseases included hypertension [36 (32.7%)] and diabetes [11 (10.0%)]. Compared with the non-hypertensive group, the lymphocyte count was significantly lower in the hypertensive group (average value, 0.96 × 10 9 /L vs 1.26 × 10 9 /L), and analysis of clinical outcomes showed that the crude mortality rate was higher in the hypertensive group [7/36 (19.4%) vs 2/74 (2.7%)]. Patients treated with ACEI or ARB, compared with the control group, were younger (average age, 58.5 years vs 69.2 years), but there was no statistical difference in the crude cure rate [10/15 (66.7%) vs 15/21 (71.4%)] and the crude mortality rate [2/15 (13.3%) vs 5/21 (23.8%)]. In conclusions, the COVID-19 patients with a history of hypertension had a significantly lower lymphocyte count on admission. The elderly and comorbidities such as hypertension may together constitute risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with COVID-19. Taking ACEI or ARB drugs may not change the prognosis of COVID-19 patients with hypertension. ARTICLE HISTORY

Aim: To explore the association of APOE polymorphism (rs7412:526C>T and rs429358:388T>C) with glucose, lipid and serum uric acid (UA) metabolism in patients with hypertension or coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods: A total of 544 patients with hypertension or CHD were selected for this study from March 2017 to January 2018. According to the APOE genotypes (excluding the E2/E4 genotype), the subjects were divided into three groups (E2/E2+E2/E3 genotypes, E3/E3 genotype [the wild-type] and E3/E4+E4/E4 genotypes) and the difference of metabolism among the three groups was compared. Results: There were significant differences in total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein and serum UA levels among the three groups. Compared with APOE E3 homozygote, APOE E4 carriers possessed higher TC, triglycerides and LDL levels, whereas APOE E2 carriers had higher high-density lipoprotein level, lower TC and LDL levels. Furthermore, multivariate logistic regression analysis found that setting E3/E3 genotype as the reference group, the carriers of APOE E4 allele (E3/E4+E4/E4 genotypes) were significantly related to hypertriglyceridemia, and APOE E2 allele (E2/E2+E2/E3 genotypes) was significantly correlated with hyperuricemia. Conclusion: APOE polymorphism was associated with blood lipid and serum UA metabolism in patients with hypertension or CHD. Compared with APOE E3 homozygote, APOE E4 allele was related to elevated triglycerides, and APOE E2 allele was correlated with increased serum UA level.

In order to expand the simulation scale of the real-time digital solver based on FPGA (FRTDS, FPGA: field-programmable gate array), the power system modeling process is optimized. The multi-valued parameter method is used to represent the external characteristics of the equipment. The methods of addressing the equivalent admittance and voltage coefficient of the interval unit are discussed in detail. The serial degree of the simulation script is effectively reduced. The disadvantageous effects of asymmetric elements and nonlinear elements on node elimination are analyzed. The elimination order of nodes is determined according to the minimum estimate of the execution time of the simulation script. According to the proposed method to reduce the serial degree and calculation time of the simulation script, software for generating an electromagnetic transient simulation script for power systems is developed. The effectiveness of the software is verified by an example.

Three kinds of nano-concrete, i.e., 2.0% nano-SiO2 doped, 2.0% nano-CaCO3 doped and 1.0% nano-SiO2-1.0% nano-CaCO3 co-doped concretes (NS, NC, NSC) were prepared for a study on static property and dynamic property under different strain rates (50–130 s−1) using HYY series hydraulic servo test system and Φ100 mm split Hopkinson pressure bar test system, and a comparison with plain concrete (PC) as well. The results have shown that under static load, as compared with PC, NC has both strength and elastic modulus increased obviously, while NS has strength decreased and elastic modulus increased, and under dynamic load, there is an obvious strain rate effect for the dynamic compressive strength, impact toughness, energy dissipation and impact failure mode of concrete. Under the same strain rate, the dynamic compressive strength, peak strain, impact toughness and energy dissipation of NC are significantly increased, while its dynamic elastic modulus is decreased. Compared with PC, NS has dynamic compressive strength, peak strain, impact toughness and energy dissipation decreased, and dynamic elastic modulus increased, NC has static and dynamic mechanical properties improved, NS has static and dynamic mechanical properties weakened, and NSC is between PC and NC in static and dynamic mechanical properties, but generally improved. Doped with nano-CaCO3, NC has compactness improved, weak areas reduced, and pore size distribution optimized, while doped with nano-SiO2, NS has obvious internal weak areas, with pore structure degraded.

To investigate the spatial distribution of the intracluster medium temperature in galaxy clusters in a quantitative way and probe the physics behind it, we analyze the X-ray spectra from a sample of 50 clusters that were observed with the Chandra ACIS instrument over the past 15 years and measure the radial temperature profiles out to 0.45r 500. We construct a physical model that takes into consideration the effects of gravitational heating, thermal history (such as radiative cooling, active galactic nucleus feedback, and thermal conduction), and work done via gas compression, and use it to fit the observed temperature profiles by running Bayesian regressions. The results show that in all cases our model provides an acceptable fit at the 68% confidence level. For further validation, we select nine clusters that have been observed with both Chandra (out to ≳0.3r 500) and Suzaku (out to ≳1.5r 500) and fit their Chandra spectra with our model. We then compare the extrapolation of the best fits with the Suzaku measurements and find that the model profiles agree with the Suzaku results very well in seven clusters. In the remaining two clusters the difference between the model and the observation is possibly caused by local thermal substructures. Our study also implies that for most of the clusters the assumption of hydrostatic equilibrium is safe out to at least 0.5r 500 and the non-gravitational interactions between dark matter and its luminous counterparts is consistent with zero.
