Abstract:A low-profile wideband unidirectional dipole antenna is presented for the 5G operation. Parasitic strips are utilized for broadband impedance matching at a relatively small height of 4.9 mm (0.067λ 0 , where λ 0 is the free-space wavelength at the center frequency). The measured results show that an impedance bandwidth of 55.4% is realized, ranged from 2.96 GHz to 5.23 GHz. The proposed antenna is with the merits of stable and symmetric unidirectional radiation patterns, low back-lobes and an average antenna gain of 7 dBi over the operating band, making it very promising for 5G system.
Cataclastic rock masses with multiple failure modes and mechanisms are critical geological problems in the construction of rock slopes. Cataclastic rock masses are widely distributed in slopes of a hydropower project located on Lancang River, which is located in Tibet, China. In this study, the potentially unstable block of the slope is divided into key block and secondary key block based on the key block theory, and the system reliability evaluation theory is introduced. The method for quantitatively analyzing the rock mass stability of cataclastic slopes with sliding failure is established. Then, the spatial distribution of cataclastic rock masses and discontinuities in several rock slopes of a hydropower project are determined using traditional geological surveying and 3D laser scanning. At last, combining the BATE 2.0 software and the stereographic projection of the vector, the proposed method is applied to the study area. The results show that the main failure mode of the studied slope is wedge failure, and the system reliability is 1.69. With the increase in the instability probability of the key block, the increase in the instability probability of the system block is obvious, which reflects the controlling effect of the key block on the stability of the system block. The calculated system instability probability is slightly larger than the key block instability probability.
Studying the deformation and failure mechanism of the Tanziyan landslide in Yesanguan Town, Badong County, and designing the controlling measures are of great significance to ensure the sustainable development of urban planning and construction. In this paper, stability of Tanziyan landslide is analyzed using the calculation method of complex plane slip surface. After consideration of the essential characteristics of the disaster body, the deformation and failure mechanism of the landslide is studied, and the corresponding landslide treatment measures are presented. Results show stability state of the landslide is understable to unstable as a whole, and the development process can be roughly divided into three stages: sliding, bending and the cracks are connected. Finally, it is proposed to cut and reshape the slope from the crack groove on the slope top to the national highway, and thenlattice beams and anchor cables are presented to protect the reshaped slope surface. Ecological bags are used to stack and regreen between the lattice structures. A retaining wall is built on the inner side of the national highway at the bottom of the slope cutting area, an active protective net is laid on the east side of the crack groove, and monitoring works are set for potential deformation areas. In short, experiences of engineering practice in this landslidecan provide reference for similar projects.
General visualization recommendation systems typically make design decisions for the dataset automatically. However, most of them can only prune meaningless visualizations but fail to recommend targeted results. This paper contributes TaskVis, a task-oriented visualization recommendation system that allows users to select their tasks precisely on the interface. We first summarize a task base with 18 classical analytic tasks by a survey both in academia and industry. On this basis, we maintain a rule base, which extends empirical wisdom with our targeted modeling of the analytic tasks. Then, our rule-based approach enumerates all the candidate visualizations through answer set programming. After that, the generated charts can be ranked by four ranking schemes. Furthermore, we introduce a task-based combination recommendation strategy, leveraging a set of visualizations to give a brief view of the dataset collaboratively. Finally, we evaluate TaskVis through a series of use cases and a user study.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
