The classification of National Institutes of Health (NIH) has been accepted internationally, including acute bacterial prostatitis (ABP), chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP), chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS) and asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis (AIP) (Khan et al., 2017).According to updated research, the prevalence of prostatitis is high and prone to recurrent attacks, which has a serious negative impact on patients' quality of life (QoL) (Schoeb et al., 2017;Zhu et al., 2017).Based on an epidemiological study of 12,743 participants, the prevalence of prostatitis-like symptoms in Chinese men is approximately 8.4% (Liang et al., 2009).
