ABSTRAKBatik Kembang Turi dari Kampung Wisata Kembang Turi Blitar menjadi salah satu produk unggulan wisata Kota Blitar sejak diresmikan tahun 2018. Motif kembang turi, ikan koi, serta kendang menjadi ciri khas batik Kembang Turi. Proses kreasi stilasi dan komposisi motif batik di Kelurahan Turi terbilang masih sederhana dengan menggunakan teknik pola motif satu langkah dan karakter warna belum memiliki konsep warna yang dapat mempresentasikan ciri khas motif batik dari Kampung Batik Kembang Turi. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan dan wawancara dengan perajin di Kampung Batik Turi. Selanjutnya, dilakukan eksperimen berupa eksplorasi pengolahan stilasi, pengolahan motif setengah langkah, dan eksplorasi warna. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dua kreasi motif dan warna yang lebih dinamis dengan stilasi dan komposisi baru pada Batik Kembang Turi Blitar. Komposisi pola motif setengah langkah dan pola satu langkah refleksi simetri, serta konsep warna baru, sehingga terciptanya karakter motif dan warna yang dimiliki Kampung Batik Kembang Turi. Pengolahan motif ini sebagai upaya pengembangan Kampung Batik Kembang Turi serta menambah estetika dalam pengembangan pola motif batik Blitar khususnya di Kelurahan Turi.
In supporting the Blitar City government's program through Community Empowerment Towards a Tourism City, the local government inaugurated the Kembang Turi Batik Village on October 2, 2018. The goal is to preserve the Blitar batik tradition and improve the community's economy. However, their batik designs do not yet have a characteristic in the process. In 2019, research was carried out in developing the Batik Kembang Turi Biltar design, creating Batik Ratimaya to increase potential and production to be more developed and innovative. This research was conducted to determine the adaptability of innovative designs in previous studies to artisans, especially in batik production, on the effectiveness of batik development. Analyze and evaluate based on the level of adaptability in innovative designs, both in terms of design and production processes. The methodology used in this study uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through previous research, interviews, and observations. The implications of this research are expected to be a reference for Batik Kembang Turi designers and consider factors and aspects of innovation adaptation in developing batik product innovation strategies.
Batik Kembang Turi, Blitar was present in 2018 as an embodiment of batik preservation in the City of Blitar. The Blitar Turi Batik Blitar Gallery has become one of the centers of making batik, has succeeded in empowering the surrounding community to produce batik with Blitar's distinctive characteristics. But until now not many people outside the city of Blitar know the beauty and uniqueness of Batik Kembang Turi Blitar, even though there is a lot of potentials that can be developed to be able to increase the strength of the characteristics of Kembang Turi Blitar Batik. The results of this study in the form of data from 17 batik motifs that have the characteristics of the main motifs, the Kembang Turi motif in combination with the Koi, Gendang, Bung Karno, and Lotus motifs that are characteristic of the city of Blitar. The distinctive color that is used on Kampung Batik Kembang Turi batik, namely bright colors, red colors, green and black are the hallmarks of Batik Kembang Turi Blitar. In the future, this data can be used as a basis for the development of new motif designs in "Batik Kembang Turi" Blitar Gallery.
