Partant d’un constat clair – seule l’innovation permettra de générer de nouvelles activités et des emplois industriels durables dans les pays occidentaux – il se propose d’apporter un avantage compétitif durable aux entreprises, grâce à la miniaturisation, à l’intelligence embarquée et à la connectivité. Le pôle s’adosse à l’écosystème grenoblois, reconnu depuis longtemps pour sa capacité à faire travailler ensemble, de manière féconde, recherche, formation et industrie, avec l’aide des acteurs publics et privés.
Le paysage énergétique mondial, qui a profondément changé en moins de vingt ans, s’apprête à connaître une nouvelle révolution avec l’introduction massive des énergies renouvelables, des nouvelles technologies associées, ainsi que de plus en plus d’intelligence dans les réseaux d’énergie, dans la gestion de la demande et de l’offre. Dans ce contexte, la compétition industrielle et économique s’annonce rude. L’innovation est un facteur clé de réussite dans cette bataille. La France a les atouts pour la gagner, avec ses industriels de taille mondiale et ses centres de recherche de premier plan. Elle doit mettre désormais l’accent davantage sur l’amont, c’est-à-dire sur le soutien au développement de filières industrielles, ainsi qu’à la recherche et à l’innovation, en choisissant les filières d’excellence sur lesquelles elle peut devenir un des leaders mondiaux. Nous montrerons des exemples de démarches initiées en France en matière de photovoltaïque et de batteries, des secteurs qu’il faut continuer à soutenir et à développer.
La montée en puissance des énergies renouvelables dans le monde, et en particulier du solaire, modifie profondément les modèles économiques du secteur de l’énergie. Décentralisation des décisions, usagers replacés au cœur des systèmes, autoconsommation, pilotage et gestion de l’énergie dans le bâtiment, nouvelles formes de mobilité, ce sont là autant d’attentes que les technologies du numérique peuvent satisfaire. Alors, numérique-énergie : une convergence naturelle... ou une révolution ? Sûrement une révolution, mais à conduire, en premier lieu, dans les esprits !
