A Energia solar é economicamente viável, de fácil aquisição e instalação, possui características de longa vida útil do sistema gerador, no Brasil detém grande potencial de uso e altos níveis de incidência solar que são superiores aos países que desenvolvem projetos fotovoltaicos com frequência, com isso a energia solar no Brasil aparece fortemente como uma opção complementar à matriz energética. O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar a viabilidade técnica e econômica de projetos já integrados de sistemas fotovoltaicos conectados à rede elétrica. Foi realizado um levantamento bibliográfico abrangendo os principais temas e também um estudo de caso com base nos dados fornecidos pelo gerente do projeto e comparação dos dados estimados de geração de energia com os dados estimados de consumo, módulo e inversor. O sistema fotovoltaico é composto por 71 módulos, cada um com potência de 510 Wp, totalizando 36,1 kWp, e dois inversores com potência nominal de 15 kW. Ao final do trabalho, é apresentado um estudo econômico que comprova que o projeto em questão é tecnicamente viável.
